Lily had pulled me all the way to Slughorn's class. I walked in nervously and took a seat next to her. We chatted a minute before he walked in. "Ah, Miss Malfoy, what a pleasure to see you today!" Professor said causing me to laugh. "It's Mrs Black now Professor. I was married in early December" I said as he smiled. "Of course. My apologies Mrs Black" he corrected. "Anyway, welcome" he said as I smiled. It felt good to be back. I listened intently to the lesson, making sure not to let any of the other students distract me. I was so involved that the class flew by. I was interrupted by the dismissal. I gathered my things and started to make my way out of the classroom when Slughorn called out to me. "It was food to see you Mrs Black" He said as I nodded. "Same to you Professor" I agreed. I walked out and was immediately trailed by a group of Slytherin students. "How's the traitor baby?" A girl asked as I continued walking. "I bet it will be just as much a disappointment as its father" another said. I had enough and whipped around to look at them.
"I suppose you'd know a thing or two about being a disappointment to your father wouldn't you?" I asked the boy as he scowled before drawing his wand. I dropped my books and did the same. My growing stomach now on display. "You gonna do it or are you too much of a coward!" I yelled as the crowd gathered. "My time is wasted" I said as I lowered my wand and gathered my books and headed to the common room. I changed into more comfortable clothes and made my way to the great hall. The one time I felt it was safe to be there with the other students. I was eating when Sirius bursted in and stormed over to the Slytherin table. I watched as he casted a hex at the boys who had messed with me. "You messed with my wife! Aren't you aware she's bloody pregnant!" Sirius yelled as he casted another spell. "I reckoned she was just full" a boy joked. He didn't receive a hex, he received a punch to the face. "ENOUGH!" Professor McGonagall boomed loudly causing Sirius to stand frozen in place. "Walk away Mr Black!" She warned him.
He glared once more at the boy before making his way to the Gryffindor table and sitting down next to me. "You shouldn't have done that" I said with a smile. "You're my wife Cass, I'd rather die than sit back and watch 'em mess with you" Sirius said. I smiled lovingly before kissing him. He was truly my best friend. We ate and laughed before heading back to the common room. My feet were killing me so Sirius gave me a piggyback ride the entire way. "Called it" I said as we walked in to the common room and saw Lily and James snogging. "Merlin! You scared me Padfoot....and company" James said as he noticed me on Sirius's back. "Maybe don't snog where everyone can see and that wouldn't be an issue?" I suggested as Lily chuckled. "Off to bed wife?" Sirius asked me. I giggled. "Off to bed husband" I said as he carried me upstairs. "I would say use protection but I think you're beyond that now!" James yelled after us. We broke out into laughter at the comment. Sirius took me to the boys dorm and sat me down gently on his bed before tossing me one of his shirts.
I was getting to a point that I was too large for most of my school uniform. I had to resort to wearing his shirts and shorts. I quickly changed and sat back down on his bed. I leaned up so he could climb behind me before leaning back against his chest. I scooted up and pulled my shirt over the top of my bump. I knew how much he liked to touch it so I gave him every opportunity he could get. He placed gentle hands on my stomach and smiled. "Say cheese!" Remus said as he held up a camera and snapped a picture of us. He sat the camera down on the side table and climbed on the end of Sirius's bed. "Co-could I touch it?" Remus asked nervously. "Of course you can" I assured him as he slowly placed a hand on my stomach. I grabbed the camera and snapped a picture. "James! Peter! Come here!" I yelled as the boys bounded into the room. "Place your hand on my stomach" I said as they obeyed. Once all the Marauders had their hands positioned I snapped the photo. It was definitely a core memory.
