"Happy birthday!" We yelled as Sirius walked into the common room. "You shouldn't have" Sirius said as he walked over to me and kissed my cheek before walking over to James and hugging him. "Happy birthday from me, mum, and dad" James said as he handed a gift to Sirius. He opened it up to reveal a photo album and camera. "For you to document Married Life" James said as me and Sirius smiled at the gift. "Thank you" Sirius said as he hugged the boy who had become a brother. "This is from me" Lily said as she handed him a gift bag. He pulled out a shirt with a muggle band insignia on it. He beamed at it. He was overjoyed. "Here" Remus said as he handed a wrapped box. Sirius ripped it open to see a book titled "how not to ruin my marriage". I laughed as Sirius chuckled. "Thanks mate, I'll use it a lot" he said as I playfully hit his chest. I went and grabbed the cake and used my wand to light all the candles. "Make a wish" I said as he closed his eyes and sat there a moment.
He finally opened his eyes and smiled before blowing out the candles. "I wished for a long happy life with you" he beamed. "You aren't supposed to tell us. Now it won't come true" I said as he chuckled. "I have you. It has already come true" he said as I kissed him. "Ugh," James said as he pretended to gag. I took some frosting off the cake and wiped it on his nose. I laughed as he tried to lick it off. Eventually Lily wiped it off and stuck her finger in her mouth. The look she gave him told me that she would eventually be Mrs Potter. It was the same look I give Sirius. We ate cake and laughed before going to the great hall. We were stopped by Professor McGonagall. "Happy birthday Mr Black" She said as he smiled at her. "Could I speak to you privately Professor?" I asked as she nodded. We walked to her office and she closed the door. "What is it Miss Malfoy?" She asked me. "I know word has gotten around the castle that I am getting married over the winter break?" I asked as she nodded. "Yes it has" she answered calmly.
"I suppose you have already learned of my situation with my family" I asked as she once again nodded. "I was wondering if you would stand in as my mum in my wedding?" I asked as McGonagall smiled and her eyes started to glisten. "I would be honored" she said as we stood up and hugged. "When is the wedding?" She asked. "December 20th" I said as she nodded. "I will be there" she said as I smiled. "I know you will be a beautiful bride" McGonagall said as I smiled one last time before exciting her office. I smiled less as Severus and his posse walked by. I scowled and they stopped. "Got something to say Malfoy?" Regulus said from beside him. "You call me that like we won't eventually share the name Black" I said as he pulled out his wand. "Hit me, see what look your brother will sport when he learns that his dear brother tossed a spell in his wife's direction" I threatened. "If he won't I will" Severus said as he shot a spell at me. I easily deflected it. "That all you got?" I teased. He continued to stand there.
"That's what I thought" I said as I turned to walk away. I made it to the great hall unscathed. I took my seat next to Sirius and started to load up my plate. "Hope you had a good birthday" I said as he smiled. "I had the best birthday ever" Sirius said as he kissed me.
