avery, Iowa's newest dance member stumbles upon a certain someone

"AVERY!!!!" ivy yelled from the couch in there shared living room. faith whipped her head toward the door as ivy jumped up and ran into avery's arms.
"i've missed you so so much" ivys muffled voice uttered into avery's long sleeve.
"here let me help with your bags" faith says as she stood up from the red couch. grabbing avery's two very large bags and dragging them down the hall into her room.
"how was the vacation?" faith asked, as she sat down on avery's bed.
"it was good, i missed you guys though"
"dude we have so much to tell you," ivy said jumping into avery's bed looking over into the mirror avery was looking at.
"ouuuu, i can't wait to know everything!" avery said stopping picking at her skin to turn around and focus all her attention on ivy.
"okay so faith has been chatting it up with one of the basketball players," ivy started her rant, "and she's invited us to there game on thursday against virgina.... yes we know you don't really enjoy basketball-"
"or follow it." faith added on to ivy spiel.
"no. no way. you guys know that i don't like basketball."
"yeah we know. but we don't really understand why." ivy said questioning why avery can't seem to talk about basketball.
"no ivy i'm not going. don't even ask." avery said leaving her bedroom and ending the conversation.

YES avery loved being back a iowa. but no she didn't love all the attention the woman's basketball team has been getting. she can't even scroll on insta without seeing her face all over. all of her family say she's being dramatic, maybe a little bit. that doesn't matter to avery though. when kate ended there friendship right before they both went to school freshman, it ruined her. so yeah, she wasn't a big fan.
after about an hour of sitting in the living room not speaking to eachother, avery broke the tension.
"okay fine. i'll go to the basketball game. under one condition-" avery said before getting cut of by ivy squishing her in a hug.
"YAY, thank you thank you thank you!" ivy was smiling ear to ear. ivy being happy made avery happy no matter how much she hated being back into the basketball world.
" wait what where you going to say, before ivy hugged you to death." faith said keeping avery on track.
"oh. i was just going to say, you guys owe me applebees." avery said, making all the girls laugh and agree to go out after the game.
