["Ten years has passed since Akari read us that story, and I found out that once we turn twelve we have to leave on a journey that we'll find out about once the time is right, like my father Haru, when he left at the age of twelve, he went and searched for a place that had a suitable land to grow crops for a new home, and Akari left to find the man of her dreams and have two beautiful children (is what she told us, though I doubt that was the whole story.) My sister and I turn twelve in just a month, also I am finally able to read this language, though it was really tough, I still use Japanese, though only for me, I like to write down the events that happen just like I'm doing right now, I even wrote about my previous life and my reincarnation, I can't let anyone know about that, so that is why I'm writing in Japanese, I also found out how to use magic so my theory on the dark fairy tale was wrong, also my sister followed me shortly after and now she knows magic as well, she and I have agreed to take our journey together, and go to a school where we can learn magic, after that we will go look for that cave in the story Akari read to us, I just want to find out if it was true or not, Liz said she is willing to travel with me as well"]
"Hey Jason, what are you writing?" "Ahh, Liz what did I tell you about knocking before you enter my room." "I did but you didn't answer me, so I came to check if you were alright." "You did?" "Yeah, but I guess you you were busy writing, anyways what language is that?" "Huh, oh, it's nothing, just some gibberish (I'm sorry Japan.)" "Okay, if you say so." ("I get a feeling that she doesn't believe me.") "Anyway's dad said he wanted to talk to us, I think it's about the journey we're about to take." "You think so?" "Mm-hmm." "Alright then let's go." Jason and Liz then proceeds to Haru's Office, once they got in Jason then asks, "What is it that you need father?" ["Now you may be wondering why I call my parents from this world by their names on paper but call them mother and father when I speak, well that's because I find it kind of weird to call someone else other than my original parents mother and father, I just say it because I don't want them to know about my previous life."] "Ah yes, Jason, Liz, I would like to ask you about your journey, that you're about to take..." "I told you." Liz whispers, "shh." says Jason. "Ahem, as I was trying to say, I want to help you kids by letting you go to that magic school that you wanted to go too, what was it called again...? Ah yes Phenix Academy, however you need a certain aptitude for magic, as entering the school won't be easy." "What do you mean?" Jason says. "You will get appraised by your magic from a series of test, the first one will be from a appraisal crystal which will determine your aptitude for magic if you don't have a high enough aptitude, you won't be able to enter, the next one will be a written quiz which will determine how much you already know about magic so that they can determine what classes you should take, and the final one will be skill, this is where they see what kind of magic you could use already, I've noticed that you and Liz have practicing magic, and I also noticed that your magic is a lot stronger when you practice at the same time, but when you're separated, your magic is reduced by half, I'm assuming that is the downside of being twins, so I suggest that the both of you practice separately, and raise your magic higher, to just as high as you can when the both of you practice together, I don't know what that will mean when you use your magic together, it might mean destruction, but it will let you pass that final test." "Right." Jason and Liz said in harmony. "I suggest that you go and practice right now with Rei and Yuka..." ["They are Haru and Akari's maids that have a pretty good aptitude for magic."] "Go and look for them, I'm pretty sure that they are taking care of the garden." "Alright thank you father." Says Liz.
["We then begin to look for Rei and Yuka to learn about magic, and to see what they can teach us."] "So let me get this right, your father wants Yuka and I to train you in magic, so that you both can go to the magic school for your quest, but he want a you to train separately?" "That's right." Says Jason and Liz. "Alright but we'll be teaching you guys basic magic, Okay, also what do you guys already know about magic?" "Well we know about Fire, Water, and Earth magic." Says Jason "But all we can do is cast a simple Fire ball." Liz says "I see, well Fire ball is a tricky spell so I'm surprised you two already know about it, anyway Fire, Water, and Earth isn't the only type of magic, there is Wind, Light Dark, and NULL magic." "I have a question Rei." "Yes Jason?" "Do you know about the Phoenix in the Fairytale? If so do you know what kind of magic it uses and if it's real?" "Well I don't think it's real, but if I have to guess what magic it uses by the description of it, I would say that it uses both Fire and Dark magic." "Why do you say that?" Says Liz "Well since it's a Phoenix it uses fire since that's what it's body is made of, and since that fire is purple that must mean it's a Dark Phoenix and the Dark is in its name, and as for why I don't think it's real is because Phoenix's don't exist, or at least no one has ever seen one. Now let's ignore all that nonsense for now and get to practicing magic."
["after some time we found Yuka, and Liz stayed with her to learn magic, eventually we will switch teachers, but the reason is because each person has the aptitude to know one, two, or even three types of magic, and it's impossible to learn all six types so we have to find out what magic we can learn, and so far both Liz and I have the aptitude for Fire, Rei has the aptitude for Water and Dark magic, where as Yuka has the Aptitude for for Fire and Light, I also found out that Akari has the aptitude for Light magic, and Haru has the aptitude for Fire and Dark, what I want to find out about is what other magic can Liz and I learn."] "So Jason, we are gonna start easy with some Water magic. Water magic is one of the easiest anyone can learn, the thing is however, is that if you don't have the aptitude for water, then you can't use any spells from it." "How do we know if we have the aptitude for a certain type of magic?" "Well that's where this Appraisal crystal comes in, it's not as powerful as what the school has, so it'll only be able to tell you if you can use Water or Dark magic since that's all I can use, a normal magic crystal would will only glow to the magic you can use, the colors of the appraisal depends on what magic you can use, for example blue is for water, red is for fire, green is for wind, brown for earth, white for light, purple for dark, and grey for null, the grey one is the hardest to tell because, that is the default color for an appraisal crystal, I however as you can see only have blue and purple, all you have to do is touch the crystal, and if it glows then you have the aptitude for it." ["I then touched the appraisal crystal, and when I did it glowed blue and purple."] "Woah, you can use both Water and Dark alongside Fire. Since you can use Dark type magic, I'll teach you that later, but for now I'm going to teach you all that I know for basic Water magic, because it's the easiest to learn out of the two." ["now before we continue with my story let's see Liz's point of view."] "So Liz, how have you been?" "I've been alright, so how do I learn magic?" "Well I've heard that you and Jason can use Fire magic, so that makes it easier for me to teach, so we'll learn that later, for now touch this crystal." "What for?" "You see, this crystal will let you know if you have the aptitude for certain types of magic depending on the color, and this one lets me see if you have the aptitude for Light, and Fire magic, even though we already know you can use Fire magic." "I see, so all I have to do is touch it, right?" "That's correct." Liz then begins to touch the crystal and it starts to glow white and red, "Wow it seems like you have an aptitude with light magic, not many people can use Light or Dark magic" ["So yeah it seems like both Liz and I has an aptitude for the magic we are learning and it seems like it's less likely to have the same aptitude for the same magic..."
