Casey hands Severide somes clothes. Here go change and shower . We can head back.
Severide hops in the shower. He lets the hot water run over him. He still is in shock that Maddie is alive. He thinks about seeing her when he gets back to the hospital. Looks down. He starts laughing. I can't wait to see her he says. He gets out drys off and changes.

Alright boys let's go he says. I'm ready to get back to Maddie Severide says. I know man Casey said.

All three get in the car and start the drive back to Chicago. Casey how is Cruz doing with squad Severide asked. He is holding his own. I think he will be happy to hand the reins back to you. I can honestly say I will be glad to get back to work. We all missed you Severide. 51 is not the same without me Severide said. It was quite Casey said. I put the spice in 51 he said. Casey rolls his eyes. It's the truth man. I am the man Severide replied. They all start laughing. I can't wait to see Maddie Severide said. She will be happy to see you.

She will probably yell me as soon as I walk into her room. I can just see it. Kelly Severide why the hell didn't you just wait. You know I have to make an entrance. I was coming back to you.

She is going to put up a fight when I tell her she is moving in with me Kelly said. Good luck with that one Jay said. Yeah I'm not looking forward to that conversation. It will be for her own safety. Who knows if Danny is gonna stay in jail. Maddie may have to testify Jay said. I don't want her to relive all
that. I know Kelly but she may have too.

Hailey may have to talk her into testifying.
Maddie is not going to want to see Danny that's gonna be traumatic but I understand if she has no choice. Can you try to find another way Jay Severide asked. I'll do my best he replied.

As they get closer to the hospital Severide gets nervous and excited to see Maddie at the same time. All he wanted to do was hold her and kiss her.

They get to the hospital and park. They walk to Maddie's room. Should I mess with Maddie and say you didn't come back Casey said to Severide. If you want to get yelled at sure he said. Good point Casey said.

As they get closer to Maddie's room. They hear her form down the hall. I'm telling you Herman I'm gonna have to end up going to get him. Maddie Herman said Casey will bring him back. He knows if he doesn't you will give him hell for it. Let's hope you are right Herman. Have some faith Herman said to her. Casey and Jay walked in.

Where is Severide she asked him. He stayed up there Maddie. He refused to come back Casey said. Ok I'm going up to get him. Baby get back in bed Severide said as he walked in. Casey is messing with you. Maddie starts crying when she sees Severide. Your here your really here she said to him. Yes baby I'm really here.

She grabs him and kisses him with passion.
He leans over bed. She  felt something poking her. She starts laughing hysterically. What's so funny he said. He looks down . Good lord. You see what you do to me. I have a gift she said. I'm so glad you are alive baby.

He gets in her hospital bed with her.
You better not leave me again she told him. I'm not Maddie I'm staying here with you.
She lays her head on his chest. Maddie you are moving in with me. She gives me a look.
Severide sighs. Maddie it's for your own good and safety. I would feel better if you lived with me. Kelly Severide I am a grown women who can take care of myself and I will be fine by myself. Hailey a little help here. Oh no I'm staying out of this. Your her best friend. I am but I'm not getting in the middle.

Kelly why do you want me to move in with you so bad. He looks at her. Maddie I love you so much. I feel so guilty for not insisting I stay. If I did you wouldn't be in the hospital. When I saw you unconscious on the floor. It broke me. I won't let that happen to you again. Sexyride I'm ok. He smiled when she called him that. It's not your fault what happened to me. Maybe I do need a new place.Will you think about moving in with me. I'll think about it she said. For now I'm gonna stay at my place.
Then I'm staying with you a few nights then he said.

She rolls her eyes. I don't need you too. Maddie don't argue with me. Either I stay with you or you move in with me. He looks at her. Hailey said maybe you should move in with Severide she said. Hailey I thought you didn't want to get in the middle. I don't but I think it be a good idea for you too.

It's like you two think I can't take care of myself. Severide and Hailey both sigh at the same time. You can Maddie Hailey replied nobody said you can't. With all that happened there with Danny do you really want to stay there. Maddie looks at Hailey. You make a point . Fine I'll move in with Severide. Thank you he mouthed to Haley.

Will walks in to check in on Maddie.
How you feeling he asks her. So far ok.
You are a miracle he told her. When can I get discharged she asked him. You still have severe head trauma that we still want to monitor. We will take an MRI and if that shows no swelling or anything then maybe we can talk about discharging you.

You will need someone to stay with you. Will told her. She's moving in with me Severide said. She just rolls her 🙄.

I'm just anxious to go home Maddie said.
I want to get back to work. Well the CFD doctors have to clear you too babe Severide said. Casey who is Brett's partner on ambo
Mcculley. Oh God Maddie said poor Brett.
She misses you and can't wait for you to come back.

You may have to be a testify in court against Danny Hailey told Maddie. Hales can you find another way. I really don't want to realive that day. I know Maddie but in order to put him a way. You are the key witness. I don't want to see him in court. I'll give my deposition to the states attorney in his office but not court. Me and Jay will work on this Maddie.

Casey told me about what you said to Stella Maddie said to Severide. Maddie it's the truth and I stand by what I said. If it wasn't for her. You wouldn't be at Med. She pushed you in that POS direction. I won't forgive that. She was just here trying to fuck me again. Kelly Severide Maddie said.

What he said to Maddie.  She knew that he was an abuser and pushed him towards you anyway.  Kelly!  Maddie said.   You came into 29 with bruises and nobody did anything.  Nobody did anything at 31 either.   Why you are at 51 where you belong.   We can protect you and look out for you.  We are your family.   I can protect you too.  Kelly you need to go back to work.  No I need  to stay here with you. I left you once and I won't do that again.  Kelly look at me.  Go back to work.

You can go I'm fine Kelly.  You can't watch me 24/7. As much as you would want too.  I thought I lost you once. I can't go through all that pain again.  I'm in good hands here. 

Will comes in.  I have your MRI results.  There appears to be no swelling.  We want to keep you for another day.  Then you can be released.   See you can go back to work. I'm staying then once you are released I will go back.  Maddie just sighs. Ok Kelly.  When can I go back to work she asks.  Probably a couple weeks. Ugh she replied. 

The next day Maddie was able to go home.  Will gave Maddie a list of instructions. Take it easy Maddie he said to her.  If you feel or see anything out of the ordinary come back immediately.  They wheel her out in a wheel chair. Is this nesscsary. Your a patient Maddie so yes it is.  Severide helps her into the car.  The drive back to his place.
