Hanni's POV

I was finishing my homework when I received a message.

"See you in two hours at the library".

I guess she got bored of studying.

As the message said, two hours later I left my house and went to meet Minji.

I climbed the dusty stairs of the abandoned place and saw her from behind looking at one of the few shelves that were still standing.

We had been meeting secretly for 4 months but for me it was still a little uncomfortable at the beginning; I almost never took the first step, unlike her, I was still embarrassed to greet her and then the next moment we would start kissing as if there was not tomorrow.

— Hey, Minji — I smiled at her but the only thing I got from her was a serious face — Are you bored of studying yet? — I approached her, staying a few centimeters away, but I didn't get a response either—Okay, today you won't talk much— I said laughing and leaned down to kiss her.

Before I caught her lips, she abruptly pulled me away from her.

I tried to ask her why she had done it or what was happening to her but the words she told me left me not knowing what to say.

—I don't want to see you again— she said seriously.

— What? —I managed to say.

— Pham, this is over.

It's not like I was breaking up a years-long relationship, but her words hurt me deep in my heart.

I didn't understand anything, maybe she was just joking, but she seemed too sincere.

—Did you get attached to me? — She said with a superb tone, letting out a laugh, I was still silent —Poor thing, did you fall in love with me? Did I break your heart?
