Minji's POV
It was Saturday and like almost every Saturday we were going to Danielle's game at the campus stadium, but there were still hours to go, so I was alone in the room enjoying my new video game console. Well, it wasn't brand new at all, I was finally able to take it from Hanni since she had bought a new one, unlike me.
— Die! Die! Die! — I shouted at the zombie on the screen, which I was hitting in the head with a bat.
A zombie is dead. Can it die again?
— Son of a... die! — at that moment the door opened — DIE! — I finally killed it.
— Wow! That's how you greet me — she said leaving her things on the bed— What a sweetie.
She climbed onto my bed, knelt behind me, and hugged me, resting her chin on my head.
— Hello, honey — I paused the game and then turned a little so I could kiss her.
Minutes later she went to her desk and turned on her computer, I heard her laugh every time I insulted the screen because zombies appeared that scared me, when she finished what she was doing she came back to me.
— Minji —she said hugging me from behind again—Can I play? —She bit my ear. I looked at her smiling — Let me play, I want to kill zombies too.
—This game is going to scare you — I warned her.
— What?! No, it's just a game, games aren't scary — she said, acting brave.
Five minutes later, what I feared would happen happened.
— Now go down that hallway where that locker is and grab the medicine — I told her; the doll walked down the hallway.
— Ah... your fucking... —she let go of the controller and brought her hands to her eyes, scared because a zombie suddenly appeared on the screen attacking the game's protagonist. I was laughing out loud, she uncovered one eye— Don't laugh idiot, I got scared —she said laughing.
It was so stupidly adorable.
— But what are you saying Hanni, if games aren't scary? — I said, making fun of her, then I kissed her.
— Take that game away, I don't like it anymore — I laughed — Isn't there one that we can both play?
I got out of bed and looked at the box of games Hanni had given me.
— There's Pes or Speed — I said, rummaging through the games, taking them out of the box.
— What? — she said confusedly from my bed.
— One about football or one about cars — I said smiling.
— Uhhh... Cars, I prefer cars — I removed the zombie game and put on the car game.
I sat on my bed, and Hanni sat between my legs like an Indian. I put my arms around her waist and grabbed the remote. She leaned her back against me to be more comfortable.
— I like the green car — She said while choosing it.
She didn't even bother to look if it had the most power or anything, she just liked it because it was green.
— Hanni! Don't be a cheat! — I said when she touched my remote to make my car lose control for the third time since the race had started, she laughed — HANNI! — I complained when she did it again and my car crashed into the fence, I did the same with her remote.
The cars were meters away from crossing the finish line and my car was going to overtake hers.
— Run! Run! Run! — She shouted at the screen, when she saw that I was going to overtake her she grabbed my remote and put it under the bed, causing my car to brake.
