Forty eight hours pass and I pull my Paldeck ready to recieve an emergency broadcast. A few minutes later it shakes making a high pitch squeal. I tap the screen and my pals gather around me as Marcus appears on it.

He's well dressed standing behind a pulpit. Perhaps in some kind of church. I turn up the volume as he clears his throat and begins to speak. My pals gaze over my shoulder curiously. It seems the message is being played in several languages.

"I am sending this message to all who can hear it and understand it's importance, in a few moments I will take my own life, with this gun," he says holding up a pistol. "I will die, and yet, I will not, for I will exist again, when death means nothing, so too does life, and so did we ever really live if our lives are erased and reset, over and over again?"

He presses the barrel of the pistol to his temple.

"Faleris, my friend, my Pal, please forgive me, this was necessary," he says squeezing the trigger.

There's a loud bang and Marcus smiles as the bullet rips through his skull. Blood sprays out the side of his head and he falls slowly to the ground. Almost as if he still has control after death.

The screen on my Paldeck goes blank.

"Sam, what just happened?" I ask.

"Ending his life as if it will begin again tomorrow, I'm unsure of what this symbolizes," Sam replies.

Symbolizes? Wait, the symbol in the cave. When we die do we just return to a point where we weren't dead? Do our lives just repeat over and over again? One life leading to another like a never ending cycle? What if we break that cycle?

"Morado, where is Moon?" Sam asks.

"There's a cave south of here, we walked there, I sent Jessica to accompany her."

"I want you to return to her immediately," Sam says forcefully.

"What's the problem?" I ask crossing my arms.

"It's not a fucking request mijo, leave now," Sam says shoving me.

"Woah woah, calm down," I say grabbing my gear.

"I will not be calm when the one you clearly hold so dear is in danger," Sam says advancing on me. "Do you question my loyalty so much that you would waste precious seconds to object against my judgement?" Sam says grabbing at the hilt of his sword.

"No, I'll make sure she is ok," I reply.

I toss Chillet's sphere and climb on top of him. His little paws kick up sand as he soars over it treatinf  the warm salt like it were clouds in the sky. It's not long before we reach the ruins were I left Moon.

I step inside and Jessica is curled up in the floor asleep. Moon is levitating before the mural studying it still. My footsteps alert her to our presence.
