Blood splatters across my face as hot lead rips through Victor's skull. His body falls to the ground slowly, as if in shock. Surprised it's dead, and not ready to die. My body is released from his power and I rise to find little Indigo holding my pistol. Her eyes and cheeks filled with tears.

The gun clatters in her hand for a moment before making a loud clank on the ground. Indigo stands there her hands shaking as the first person she's ever killed lies face down in a puddle of blood before her.

"Morado, I-I was scared, he wa-was going to hu-hurt you," Indigo stutters terribly frightened of what she has just done.

I go to her wrapping my arms around her. She lays her head on my shoulder sobbing. Cold tears soak my clothes as I carry her through the temple toward my base.

Remington stops me at the eagle statue outside of the temple. He motions someone from the shadows and Sally appears at his side.

"Mr. Morado, let us take the girl for tonight, your Pals need your attention," Remington says holding out his hand.

"You're right, I'm trusting you and Sally with her, be kind, she's strong, but she's fragile," I say handing her to Remington.

Sally runs to me wrapping her scaley arms around me tightly. I don't feel her desire though, no, another emotion. Fear. She was afraid to lose me. A fear I'm sure the rest of my Pals share.

I return to the disaster that is my base and start to clear the rubble around the graveyard. Moon labors to help me. She knows what I'm planning to do. Who I'm planning to honor.

The better part of two days passes and I dig a small shallow grave near the others before stepping back to join my pals. A deep sadness sweeps over us and the sky darkens. Moon hands me a small bag of herbs and I pack it into Sambushi's pipe before I speak.

"I knew him as Sambushi, some knew him as Samishii, we are both gathered here today to honor his sacrifice, though not a good worker, he was a great friend, and maybe even a mentor, you are missed Sambushi," I say lighting the pipe.

I take a puff off the pipe and pass it.

Mr. Kitty takes a puff off the pipe and passes it.

Moon takes a puff off the pipe and passes it.

Jessica takes a puff off the pipe and passes it.

Rapido takes a puff off the pipe and passes it.

Sally takes a puff off the pipe and passes it.

Glizziebear takes a puff off the pipe and chokes passing it.

Little Indigo steps up twisting her foot in the sand.
