"Woah...that was epic! Awesome! It was incredible, amazing!", the girl clapped.

I flinched and froze as the girl praised me while 101 thoughts passed my mind.

First. Who is she?

Second. Is she mad? Or is it shock? Maybe that's the reason why she's ecstatic.

Third.

What now?

The girl ran over to me and wrapped her arms around my waist, not worrying about the blood that I was covered in. I could feel my body stiffen. I just stood there awkwardly before turning around to face the girl, detaching myself from the hug.

"Kid, what are you doing here?", I asked.

"I came here to celebrate! I'm going back to my homeland tomorrow!", The girl had a bright smile.

'Why does she look so familiar...', I pondered.

"What's your name?", I asked.

"How do I know you're not a spy sent to kill me?", the girl asked as she raised her eyebrow and gave me a skeptical look.

I don't need this shit. Especially from a kid.

I just huffed and rolled my eyes before turning my back on the girl, about to walk away.

"I'm joking. My name is Kayla.", the girl giggled.

My breath hitched and my eyes widened as I froze on the spot.

'No way.'

My heart began to thud loudly as I could feel my lower lip tremble.

"What is your last name?", I asked, hoping that I was wrong.

"Crimson."

My body went cold as all the blood from my face left in the dry midnight winter air. I gulped.

"What's your name?", Kayla asked.

"I-it's ...Belle.", I said softly.

What the hell was my little sister doing here? Especially in this part of the city? Why didn't mom or dad or even Kai keep tabs on her? What the hell is going on!

I became furious just at the thought of my baby sister being all alone.

I opened my mouth to say something but quickly hid her and ducked for cover as we heard gunshots. I was confused as I heard Mexicans screaming. They don't ever come here.

"Shit...", I muttered under my breath as I held Kayla behind me while I looked for a safe place for her to hide. I could feel her body shaking beneath my palms.

My attention eventually caught a dumpster as I started to drag her along.

"Woah! You're crazy! I am not going in a dumpster.", Kayla exclaimed as she tried to pull her arm away out of my grasp.

"Relax." I showed her an underground tunnel. "Now listen to me carefully Kayla, okay?"

She nodded.

"Under no circumstances do you come out of here unless you hear a bird whistling.", I demanded.

"But it's so late, no birds will-"

Was the last thing Kayla could say before I could close the hatch and get my gear. I sighed as I looked at my reflection in the miniature puddle of water from the rain that now lay on the ground.

My eyes scanned for the perfect ways to enter quietly and to exit and covered all the entrances. I took a deep breath in before I could climb the pipeline that was on the face-bricked wall. The trick to not fall? Use your toes to support your weight and move fast. Easy, right? I stretched out my right arm to the window beside me and transferred my body weight, hanging onto the window frame. I picked myself up, about to enter the building but quickly hung low as a guard quickly walked past.

I looked at my fingers to see the rain pouring down which made the window frame harder to hold onto.

"Damn it...", I muttered as my one hand slipped, I quickly pulled myself up and entered the building through the window.

I sighed as I thought no one saw me until I picked my head up to see the guard. I flung a kunai at the guard's throat, causing him to hold his throat and fall down immediately. I cracked my neck as I pulled out my twin katana blades from its sheaths.

Oh boy. It's gonna be a long night.
