It was the day of the tourney for their new brother and Rhaegar wore his black scaled Targaryen armor that made him look every bit a prince of the people.

Daena sat in front of him atop his dark steed as they rode down to the tourney grounds together alongside the royal procession with their father behind them and the Hand of the King with him.

"I bet you ten Gold Dragons that Ser Arthur beats you today," Daena said , smirking deviously up at her older brother.

He looked down in mock offense, "You doubt me, sister?"

She laughed at the look on his face, "Absolutely."

"Fine, I'll take you up on your little bet," he said with a sly grin of his own.

Once at the grounds, the siblings separated, Daena accompanied her father and Lord Tywin and his family to the royal box, while Rhaegar rode off to prepare for his jousts.

For the first few hours, the tilts were rather dull, with quick victories of petty knights and lords. Daena sat in the front row as to be closest to the action, watching intently as lances collided and shattered and riders were unhorsed.

She had always been one for violence, she enjoyed watching their soldiers train at the Red Keep, liking the singing of steel as it collided metallically.

Lord Tywin's two eldest children, the "golden twins", Jamie and Cersei Lannister, also sat in the row with Daena though further down.

She hadn't met them yet, they'd only been introduced formally upon the royal party's arrival and Daena had been too preoccupied with her adventures the previous day to become in any form acquainted.

Not that she wanted to either. While a clever and mischievous child, Daena, like her brother, was a solitary creature.

Though not a bookworm to the extent that Rhaegar was, she enjoyed her time alone with a book. And to many that knew her, she had a dichotomy between being a dreamy child and her boisterous Blood of the Dragon.

When Rhaegar entered the field, he did so to a roaring crowd. Everyone cheered for their prince as he took to the lists.

However, he firstly rode straight up to the royal box, where Daena leaned over the edge to jeer at him, "Good luck, brother," she taunted with a smug expression.
