It took both Ser Gerold and Ser Barristan to drag Daena from the Hall of a Hundred Hearths to Harrenhal's Sept.

Rhaegar had insisted he accompany them, if only to be there to protect Daena if need be. Lord Whent led the group, followed by the King, the Prince, Ser Arthur, and Daena as she was dragged along kicking and screaming.

The lord hurriedly whispered to the Septon what was to be done, glancing nervously back at the Mad King and his children once they'd enetered the sept. The old man quickly donned his robe and gathered his holy cloth, lighting a few candles and standing near opposite the doors.

Then came Lord Lucerys Velaryon, the Master of Ships with a sea green Velaryon maiden cloak in his arms. He stood beside the Septon.

A man already in his forties, the Lord of the Tides had the Valyrian looks denoting his blood ties to Old Valyria. He had shoulder length silver hair and a face framing beard that lined his mouth. He was garbed in the colors and heraldry of his house and station on the King's Small Council.

Prince Rhaegar, Lord Whent and Ser Arthur Dayne were the only ones inside the Sept. The Prince wore a look of deep melancholy that masked his growing anger. But Ser Arthur knew him well and saw the way he gripped his sword pommel tightly.

"Not here," the knight whispered to his Prince.

Outside both knights of her father's Kingsgaurd still held her as she raged against the King.

Tired of her protests, Aerys struck Daena across the face again, he grabbed her upper arm tighly with his long fingernails, "You will do your duty and I will hear no more from you!"

She shook off the Kingsguard's holds, not that they wanted to hold her at all. And with a look of pure hatred on her features, she marched defiantly into the Sept and up the small steps to the Septon and Lord Velaryon.

The King entered moments later flanked by the two knights and stood across from his son.

Everyone present save the King himself was deeply uncomfortable with the union. Even Lord Velaryon seemed deeply unsettled as he placed the maiden cloak over Daena's black and red gown.

They reluctantly joined hands and the Septon hastily tied the cloth around them, "Let it be known that Daena of the House Targaryen and Lucerys of the House Velaryon are one heart, one flesh, one soul. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder."
