Natasha

We are finally off for Lonavala and Khandala trip and no one is as excited as me. I mean why won't I be? It feels like a cosy family trip with the Deshpandes and one new person who has joined us on our journey, Pooja, Kavita Aunty's friend's daughter. She is in her second year of her master's in psychology and is home for a short break before her final exams.

I instantly clicked with her and wanted to ask so many questions considering how I myself have a very interesting human with me I would like to research, I mean know more about psychologically however we are going in separate cars since we had our own and Dhruv denied riding with them, spoilsport isn't he?

What's the point of a trip together if you are travelling separately? but since I can't do anything about it now, I have busy myself with watching the scenes passing by from the car's window. It's amazing. The way to Lonavala itself is such a sight, that I wonder how the actual deal would be. Probably 10 times better no?

And the weather, don't get me started, it's pleasant, the wind is straight out of Bollywood, the one which gently sways your saree drape and feels cool when it passes by tickling you, teasing you. Ah, such a dreamy weather. I love it.

"Don't you think, you are older than a child who needs to be taught that don't put your hands and especially your face out of the window, Natasha?" A voice more charming than the wind fell into my ears and despite the words being annoying, I found myself getting drawn to it.

"Can't you see how awesome the weather is? It's not something you find in Delhi but what would you know? So boring" I muttered the last part to myself ignoring him.

"Manoj, open the sunroof please." He then ordered our driver and I looked at him wide-eyed feeling embarrassed that I couldn't think of it before blinking my eyes and turning my gaze away sheepishly.

I could see him smirking from the corner of my eye and before he could open his mouth and smugly talk back to me, I shot up like an arrow to the top feeling the wind on my face through the sunroof.

'Woohoo' It's so much fun! I could see the western ghats more clearly and the view on my side was majestic. The curve of the road around the valley had my heart in a beat!

My enjoyment ebbed down quickly when I realised how all of my hair was flying at my face and how tangled it might have been by now and how much I would suffer combing them and bringing them back to their former glory.

I immediately decided to sit down and while I was lowering myself from the sunroof, the car jerked taking a sudden turn making me lose my balance when all I could see was Dhruv's side window and the pretty little me who was going to crash against it badly, two strong arms held me making me steady and I felt two hard logs under my butt

"Definitely a handful" He spoke after making me sit on his lap and put my arms around his neck. The logs I felt were his hard muscular thighs.

I could feel heat pooling in my cheeks feeling embarrassed to the point where I wanted to bury my face in the ground and I squirmed under his hold before he suddenly held me tighter looking at me with gritted teeth, his gaze steely and intense.

"Stop moving Natasha if you don't want to go through something you don't wish for and then come asking for more," he spoke with his one hand firmly around my waist and the other gripping my thigh.

I blushed beet red when I understood the meaning behind his words and immediately got off of him sliding back into my seat and glaring at him.

"I wasn't the one who willingly sat there!" I huffed out feeling my heart running a marathon inside my chest.

He raised one of his eyebrows before opening that sinful mouth to argue back.

"You are right because I was the one who couldn't sit back down properly ready to cause an accident by bamming my skull against the car's window." He spoke and I felt more embarrassment creeping in.

"I-It was because the car suddenly jerked and I lost my balance."

"And I helped you." His voice suddenly a whisper as he came closer, his face inches away from mine and his eyes locked with mine as he spoke, I was rendered speechless, my voice caught in my throat under his spellbound gaze.

"Thank you." I found myself answering back in a whisper as I continued to stare at him.

"Though you sure, it wasn't another one of your tricks, you know from the sunroof to my lap and the invite you tried sending me subtly...is it some other kind of friendship you desire, Natasha?" His tone was playful and mirth shone in his eyes. I felt my cheeks reddening wanting to answer back but stopped abruptly when I found his eyes falling to my lips.

His gaze was searing hot as if already devouring my lips and it flickered back to my eyes for a second before falling back to my lips again and my breath hitched.

I could feel my body heating up before he made eye contact with me yet again, this time staying and his eyes seeking some kind of approval, permission I was scared to give, nervous to accept and shy to acknowledge.

My eyelashes fluttered close when I could no longer hold the intensity coming off in waves from his brown orbs, darker than mine. My breath quickening as if making up for the time, I stopped filling my lungs with the air they so desired.

My throat was parched as my heart drummed at an inhumane speed and a million thoughts bloomed inside my head as I anticipated his next move, seeking his warmth before the car suddenly stopped and a monotonous voice made its way to my ears like a stone crashing the glass, our romantic moment broke and my eyes flew open taking the outside scenery from across and a beautiful building came in view along with the voice.

"Dhruv sir, we reached our location, 'the Woods Resort'"

'Click'

The car door opened and I felt the cool wind pass by gently caressing my skin as I noticed Dhruv's hand at the door handle.

"After you" He spoke, his lips blooming into a smile as if suppressing a laugh as he looked at me and I could do nothing except blush when I realised what we were going to do if the car hadn't stopped.
