I was surprised to find out that Mr Deshpande, my in-law's friend and the host of this party was a retired army general and it was his wife and his 30th marriage anniversary party. I felt nervous after seeing both of them especially Uncle Deshpande. He had a formidable personality suited for an army man. He was still dashing even in his retirement and Mrs Deshpande couldn't look any more lovely.

Their house was pretty and decorated beautifully. The lovely couple could be seen showered with many congratulations and best wishes standing in the hall shining among everyone present.

"Namaste Uncle, Aunty. Happy marriage Anniversary to both of you." Dhruv greeted the couple and I handed them the gift while wishing the same smiling happily. Both of them looked like a young couple in love even after many years. Honestly, this is the sort of marriage life I manifest but in my case, we are not even at the start yet.

"Aree, Dhruv beta, kitne samay baad milne aaye ho. Ye to agar hamari salgirah na hoti, to mujhe nhi lagta tha tum humse milne aane vale the, nhi kavita ji?. (Dhruv, my son, you have come after a long time if it wasn't for my marriage anniversary, I doubt you would even grace us with your presence, no Kavita, my dear wife?)

"Par dekho na, apne saath saath kisi leke aaya hai (but see, who did he bring with himself today), you one lucky champ Dhruv, itni sundar patni hai tumhari. (Your wife is a beauty)"

"True Aunty, she is breathtaking." My heart leapt when I heard him...I couldn't help but blush under his fervent gaze. He is so unpredictable, one moment, he looks at me as if I am spewing some foreign language whenever I talk about our relationship and the next moment, he catches me off guard fueling my already earnest desires for him.

"Are you looking at them, Kavita ji? It really takes me back to our time." Nakul uncle said and I blushed deeper when I heard them laughing but what caught my attention was a deep chuckle from my husband. His laugh was contagious.

"Par uncle, aap meri shaadi me kyu nhi aaye? Iske baare me kya kehna hai aapka? Agar aap aate, to hamara pehle milna ho jata. Sahi keh rhe the aap, agar aapki salgirah na hoti to hamara to milna hi nhi ho pata." (However, uncle, why didn't you attend my wedding? what do you have to say about it? If you would have come, we would have met earlier. Truly, if it wasn't for your marriage anniversary, we wouldn't have been able to meet each other after all) Dhruv said and I could see Kavita Aunty stifling a laugh while he had a smirk playing on his lips. Ture though, even I was wondering why weren't they present at our wedding but Dhruv seems to be a little more upset about it.

"Pata hai kyu? (Do you know why?) Nakul Unce motioned us to come closer with his hand and we did as he said when he suddenly dropped a solemn joke on us before ending up laughing boisterously at his own joke leaving us dumbfounded before we too ended up giggling at his antics.

Kyuki tum bhi meri shaadi me nhi aaye the." (Because you too didn't attend my wedding) I laughed louder looking at Dhruv's face, his eyes widened at the joke as if he was screaming, 'Mai paida bhi nhi hua tha tab' (I wasn't even born at that time) before making an 'I am done with him' face.

I felt a little less scared of Deshpande uncle after getting to know his goofy side, it was cute and hilarious and Aunty Deshpande was sweet and amazing.
