We reached the top of the fort and goodness it was beautiful. The large iron gates welcomed us as we got past them into the fort and the whole fort under the drizzle looked nothing less than a piece drifted from the heaven.

The sky was all clouded and almost black because of the rainy season and it looked mystical. Upon entering, we saw three iron cannons and immediately went up to click pictures with them.

Me and Pooja clicked one picture with her aiming the cannon at me while I played dead. It was so much fun.

"You sure, aisi top bani hai jo bhabi ko gira de? (Are you sure, there is a canon in the world which can defeat sister-in-law)

"What do you mean by that, Rudra?" I asked getting up immediately coming out of my character and glaring at him.

"Uff bhabhi, aise mat dekho, kuch kuch hota hai. (Ah! Sister-in-law, don't look at me like that, otherwise, something happens)" That brat spoke placing his hands on his chest.

Seriously he is such a drama queen.

"You can't easily get out of this, Rudra bhaiya (brother)"

"Ohh, ye nhi kara isiliye kya? (I didn't do this pose, is that why?" He asked posing like Shahrukh Khan this time and I couldn't fight the laugh bubbling out of my chest.

"Anyways sister-in-law, why are you getting upset? Aaj to mausam bhi aap par meherban hai, Indra dev ne specially aapke liye hi to ye mahol banaya hua hai (Today, the weather is also kind to you. Lord Indra has specially set up this environment for you) This confirms one thing, that you are indeed Lord Indra's daughter."

Rudra spoke coming closer and placing both of his hands on my shoulder trying to lure me into his sweet-talking trap.

As if.

I shook off his hands and went near the Deshpande couple who were ready to climb higher which meant trouble for me because we already had climbed so many steps but now we need to walk more!

Ugh!

Are you sure, it was you who climbed those steps?

My conscience mocked me but I shooed it away as if I have seen a pest I hate around me.

I had said it countless times but still, I don't feel satisfied by saying it twice or thrice or no matter how many times because the sight in front of me truly is breathtaking. The contrast of the black walls of the fort against the deep blue sky hits differently.

As if celestial nymphs will start dancing any moment and there will be a wandering king awaiting their fateful encounter. Gosh, I get the giggles imagining such stories.

"What are you thinking about sister-in-law? My studies tell me, it's something interesting, won't you share it with me?" Pooja snuggled closer to me tapping my shoulder.
