Fae is locked in place, unable to move.
Like she's chained to a wall that doesn't appear to be there.
Her right eye is twitching, like she's been stung by something. There's a light ahead. A sparkle, and it's coming closer.
It's talking to her, mumbling words she can't understand.
The closer it gets, the brighter.
Fae looks down at herself, realizing, the light was in her.
Before she can think she gets smacked to the ground, and back to reality. She falls to her knees, taking a hand to her head. "Argh, fuck." She mumbles. She looks up at Evan, realizing Dylan was gone.
Evan leaned down and held her shoulders. He searched for her eyes. "Hey you okay? You were gone there." He said in a calm tone, not too jumpy to scare her.
Fae relaxes her body by the touch of Evan's hands on her shoulders. "Yeah I'm alright." She looked at Evan. "We need to find Dylan. Lamark too, if possible. This, this felt wrong." Scrunching her eyes brows, she leans her hands on her thighs before slowly trying getting up.
"Yeah Dylan is taking long. I don't know what happened. He just left. He looked mad." Evan explained and with that Dylan came into the view.
He opened the door without saying anything, and sat on the bed. Plum, not taking the other two into account. Evan looked at Dylan then at Fae as he shrugged his shoulders. He got up and reached a hand out to help Fae up.
Fae gestures a smile for a thanks to Evan, before they walk over to Dylan.
"Hey Dee, how is Lamark? Anything happened out there? You took a little longer." Evan said, tipping his toes in the water as slow as possible. Dylan looked as if he had steam blowing out of his ears. His breathing was slow, too slow as if he was trying to control it. He stared ahead.
"Dylan, hey?" Fae walks infront of him, putting a hand on his shoulder and shaking him gently.
Dylan looked up. His pupils steady. He stared at Fae for a few moments before looking down. He sighed out.
"Don't ask me any questions about what happened out there. Just listen to me." Dylan started. Evan looked at Fae before nodding at Dylan.
"We need to get out of here. With or without Lamark because if we don't move fast... we're next. Trust me." Dylan's lips shuddered and twitched. He was holding something back, and they knew it. He couldn't tell them about his conversation with Mitchell. It would break the deal. They couldn't know this.
Fae tenses up. "We made a promise to Lamark not to leave without him, Dylan." She crosses her arms, taking a step back towards Evan.
"I spoke to Lamark. I told him to figure something out. The clock is ticking. We're going to sit here and wait for him. He needs to get out of that bed. Now." Dylan puts in emphasis on the last word. He spoke calmly throughout his words but had to be direct about their situation. He went back to being quiet.
"Maybe we should go and talk to—" Dylan's head shot up. He shook it. "No. We're not going there yet. We need to count our visits now. We will go there with Lamark." Dylan explained. He had a worrying look in his eyes. He could see Mitchell in places she wasn't even there. He was playing with lives, dancing with threats.
Make me happy.
The green dot ran in a line across the screen in silence, making a jump regularly. At the end of its course, it disappeared and reappeared at the starting point once more. Reliably. The same. The way it jumped corresponded to number in the upper right corner. Reliably. The same.
