In the test room, Fae is yet again sitting in the armchair, next to the monitor. The electrodes, already placed on Fae's head is making her itch the side of the patches. ''Can we get this done soon? It's hurting.'' Fae spoke up as she continues to scratch the patches, occasionally pulling out a hair strand stuck underneath.
''This is just for show.'' Mama Ashley who has been sitting at her desk, stands up and walks towards Fae. ''Did you tell your friends?'' She took off one of the electrodes, fixing the placement.
''They're informed.'' Fae leans back in the chair. ''Dylan needs something from you.'' She crossed her arms.
Mama Ashley stopped everything she was doing. ''What do they need?'' In a firm tone, she continued speaking as she wandered to the other side of the armchair. ''I can't offer too much, you know?'' She eyes Fae.
''We need the key card Ashley.'' Fae puts her arms on each side of the chair.
Mama Ashley stops up, scrunches her eyebrows and wonders. ''What for?'' She continued on with writing things down on her clipboard.
''Dylan needs to go down to the outcasts.'' Fae crossed her arms, staring down Mama Ashley as she writes things down. Mama Ashley sighed and stood still for a few minutes. ''I will slide it under his door when we're done here.
''Fae smiled as she looked at Mama Ashley. ''We're really gonna get out of here, aren't we?''
''I will certainly do my best to assure you get out safe.'' Mama Ashley looked down. ''You have a maximum of an hour and thirty minutes.'' She put down her clipboard, before beginning to take off the electrodes placed on Fae's head.
''Thank you.'' Fae's smile turned upside down as she thought about the risks of this situation. She stopped Mama Ashley from taking off the electrodes. ''What time is it?'' Fae asks in a rather unpleasant tone.
''Why?'' Mama Ashley wonders as she took her hands away from Fae.
''I want to speak to Jack.'' She looks up at Mama Ashley, awaiting an answer.
Mama Ashley sighed, whilst looking down at the drunk-in-love 'number' sitting in the armchair. Sympathy strikes her eyes. ''Okay.'' She walked back to her desk. ''This time, we keep the electrodes on. I need to monitor your brain activity, I need to be able to pull you out any moment. This is very dangerous Fae.'' Putting pressure on nearly every word, Mama Ashley takes the remote and turns off the contact lenses controlling Fae's use of her gift.
''And you're sure he's asleep?'' Mama Ashley asks in a serious and strict tone.
''Well, no. But it's worth a shot.'' Fae leans back in the armchair, twisting her neck right and left
.Mama Ashley checks her watch, she then looks back up at Fae. ''Fine.''
Fae adjusts her tone, cracks her knuckles and adjusts her shoulders.
Mama Ashley adjusts her tone to a softer one. ''Let's get started. But quick, please. Imagine him, think about him. Feel him.'' Mama Ashley ranted on, helping Fae into her vision as her eyes slowly closed, and opened into the Deep neon blue colour.
''Connect to him Fae, connect.'' Mama Ashley digs around in her pocket and pulls out a black platinum ring.
She looks at it for a few seconds before opening Fae's hand and placing it inside, shutting her hand tight again. ''I suppose this is his ring. Connect to him now.''
Fae's eyes close and open continuously as they glitch between White and blue light streaking from her eyes.
''What in heavens name...'' Mama Ashley backs away, before knocking into her desk.
