Dylan walks down the hall and turns left on the intersection. He sees Evan doing a workout in his room, his shirt hanging on the chair that stood in the corner. Dylan walked up to the room, and without bothering to knock he let himself in. Evan looked up, mid push-up and scoffed. "I know I said yesterday that you didn't have a voice of your own but it doesn't allow you to burst in here like you're one of the guards." Evan said as he got himself up, grabbed his bottle of water and took a swig of the contents.
"Get your shirt on and come with me. We need to talk." Dylan instructs as he watched Evan drink the water, his breathing heavy and uneven. Finally, he released his mouth from the spout and laughed. "Did she send you over here? You two really got some nerve." Evan said, as he stretched his arms up in the air. Dylan launched himself forward, but he was too slow as Evan reacted fast. Dylan got tossed onto the bed, Evan on top of him holding him in a lock unable to move.
Dylan shrugged and fought about but Evan's grip on his arms was much stronger. "Listen man", Dylan struggled to speak as Evan was on top of him, making it harder for him to breathe. "That kid obviously means something to you so if you wanna do something right, you'd trust me and follow me." Dylan looks up at Evan's eyes. It shows sympathy, and that line his mouth made unfolded as he spoke.
"How do I know I can trust you?" He says looking at Dylan, searching his eyes for answers. Dylan sighs, and shrugs. "You don't. I don't even know if I can trust you. All I know is that we both have people we don't want to lose. I already lost a friend, I am not losing someone else." Dylan says.
After being let go from a grip, and putting his shirt back, Evan and Dylan walk down the hall towards his room. The Dragon Inn. He walks up to the door, opens it and lets Evan in.
Fae had been pacing like a guard marching across the room but stopped when she saw Dylan with Evan. Dylan took leftover bread as well as ham from their fridge, made a sandwich and gave it to him. He said thank you as he sat down to eat. "He was working out." Dylan forms, hinting the food as he stood far back with his arms crossed.
Fae looks at Dylan, then at Evan. "Course he was." She rolls her eyes as she sits down across from Evan. "What? You're giving him our food now?" Fae starts to interrogate Evan. "So, you're gonna help us, right? Do you know anything?" She puts an arm on the table, and a hand on her chin. Staring deeply into Evan's eyes with anger and sorrow, she awaits an answer.
Evan bites out of the sandwich and chews. He looks up at Fae. "I was wrong about your friend. He has a head on his shoulders." He nods his head, taking another bite of his sandwich.
"No I don't know anything. How long have you two been here?" He asks, his eyebrows burrowing in thought, as he puts down the sandwich.
Fae, with her intimidating eyes answers Evan's question. "Just a few weeks. Now, we need you to help us whether you know things or not. Have you gotten wiser since our last visit? You'll help?" Fae raises her eyebrows.
Seeing that Evan is so distracted with eating, she takes a hand and pushes his hand down gently, to prevent him from eating throughout the conversation.
He looks at her in disbelief as he swallows. "Yes I will help you. It's not for free though, you need to help me find Caleb." Evan says as he shares a look between Fae and Dylan.
"And that we will do, right Fae?" Dylan says bouncing off the wall and joining them at the table. "It's very simple. Our friend, Lamark, 13-2, the One so they call him... he needs our help. Let's just say if there's anyway we're getting out of here it's with him." He explains, while Evan listens in, his tongue moving around his mouth in concentration.
"He's the guy they brought in? The dead one?" Evan asks confusedly.
Fae removes her hand from Evan's arm, and her eyes widen. The frustration in her reveals the neon-blue eyes once again. "Dead?! Lamark's not dead!" She insists, getting even more frustrated at Evan.
