Chapter 29: Back To The Demon Realm

Y/n POV

Hunter and I wait for everyone to come through the portal but now, Luz is the only one still not out. We waited for about five minutes and nothing happened. "So you think she got stuck?" Gus asked the group. Amity then stuck her hands in the portal and grabbed Luz, just as the portal closed. "Luz! You were in there for so long, we thought you got stuck behind! Are you hurt anywhere?" Amity asked Luz. "I'm- I'm fine" Luz said to Amity as she pushed her hand away from her face. "I... saw something or someone, but it was probably just in my head. Any sign of him?" Luz asked the group as Hunter walked a little ahead of everyone else, pulling me along with him. "Come on, It's not like a swarm of ghosts will inexplicably appear if you say his name... I think" Hunter said, tightening his hold on my hand. "Anyway if Belos was here, he's long gone now" Hunter said, answering Luz's question from before. "Well he better stay out of our way, this mama's hungry for vengeance" Camila said, hitting her hand with the bat in a threatening way. "Now that's a fight I'd watch" Gus said. "Let's get going before it gets dark" I said and we all start making our way down to find where we are. "Okay everyone, coast is clear" Willow said as she stuck her head out from behind a tree but then got distracted by the flowers and grass. "Oh hello red grass! I've missed you!" Willow said as wisped something to the plants as Gus made the talk to her.

I saw Hunter looking over at Willow with puppy dog eyes. "Aww, you have the hits for Willow~" I whispered to him. Hunter was about to say something but a bird chirping caught him off guard and he looked up at the bird. Hunter squeezes my hand harder and grabs his hair with his other hand. "We don't have time for red grass or... illusions! Belos had a head start so we should keep moving until we find him" Hunter said as he (again) dragged me along with him. "Hunter, I know this is all frustrating but yelling at our friends won't help anything" I said when no one could hear us. "I know but... I'm just worried, I don't want anyone getting hurt" Hunter said. "Don't worry, no one will die on my watch!" I said. We all came to a stop when we saw the Boiling Isles, looking like a child's dream was thrown up all over it. "Kid, stand back, who knows if that monster is alive or not" Camila said as she stood in front of all of us. "Actually the Titan skull is normal, everything else is..." Amity said. "...Wrong" Luz said, finishing Amity's sentence. "Guys, what's on top of the skull?" Willow asked as we all looked above the skull and saw the Collectors fortress floating above it. "I don't know but maybe we can get some answers in Bonesborough" Luz said As we started to head down the path, hearing how Camila tries to get use to the new environment.

No one talked that much as we made our way down to Bonesborough but Luz somehow made it to the front and we came across the Owl House. We all ran to it but the house was littered in graffiti and was trashed. "What is this place?" Camila asked as Luz walked up to the door. "Welcome to the Owl House" Luz said as she opened the door for everyone, which was bare of everything. I decided to stay outside with Hunter and the Paslisman while everyone has their time in the house. I sat on a rock while Hunter passed around mumbling to himself as the Paslisman followed him back and forth. As I drifted off of tiredness and boredom, a shout woke me up. "Stop! Stop following me! Belos could be anywhere by now, and we're just sitting here!" Hunter said as a sound from the bushes caught him off guard. "Hunter calm down, we're just resting for what's about to come" I said. "We're wasting time! What if... what if Belos find us! What he'll do to us" Hunter says. "Don't worry about that! He's just slime now, he can't control us anymore" I said. Willow and Gus came outside to see if Hunter was okay but something caught Hunter's attention. "It's Eda and King!" Hunter said and soon Amity, Camila, and Luz came running out of the house. "They we're on that shooting star!" Hunter says as a blue shooting star flies right over our heads. "How are we supposed to follow them?" Camila asked us as everyone activated their Paslisman. "Don't worry, I'm a safe flier" Amity said to Camila. "Flier?" Camila asked nervously. I had Hunter while Willow had Luz and Amity had Camila, Gus was all by himself.
