Chapter 31: The Truth

Y/n POV

As we started to calm down, the ground below us started to shake. Light pink/purple ribbons came down and wrapped around everyone except me and Luz. "Mama! Amity!" Luz shouted and tried to reach them. Camila holding the palisman except String bean and Nikki and Amity reaching for Luz. "Hunter!" I shouted and tried to grab him, but he was already too far up in the air to get him, and a white light clouded my vision as I passed out. As I started to regain consciousness, I heard a voice calling to me. "Hey! Y/n the Silver Guard, you have to wake up" The voice said as again started to gain consciousness. I heard people's voices as I pretended to still be asleep. "Uh, I thought you said this would work Ray-Ray! You said it would make them all see the error of their ways, but King is gonna hate me for this! Now what do we do!" I heard what I believe it was The Collector said. 'The Collector? Why am I here instead of with the others or Luz?' I wondered. I felt some movement at the end of the bed, which I guess is Belos in Raine's body as he stood up. "Why bother teaching them anything when you could just wipe them out?" Belos said to The Collector. "I want to be their friend and besides, my powers don't work on King" The Collector said. "The dog?" Belos asked, confused. "Yeah, cause he's a Titan" The Collector reveals to Belos as there was a silence for a moment. "You worked in the castle Ray-Ray, you've seen the big old heart. Still beating too, Titans are amazing! When they're fully grown, they're more powerful than anyone!" The Collector told Belos. 

"You know, I just had an interesting idea" Belos said as he sat at the end of the bed I was in. "Yeah?" The Collector asked, interested. "No, it wouldn't work" Belos said. "What, what wouldn't work!? Tell me, or I'll hold my breath for a million years!" The Collector said as they got closer to us. "Huh, if you insist. What if you played with those three yourself? Show them just how fun your games are in person, then they'll all want to be your friend!" Belos said to The Collector. "You think?" The Collector asked and Belos hummed in agreement. "Can Y/n join too! I'm sure they'll have just as much fun as them!" the Collector said as they made their way to me. "I'm not sure. "You know they're... different" Belos said to The Collector. "I know, they're from a whole other world but I'm sure they also have some fun games to play!" The Collector said. 'Wait- they know I'm not from here!? So, does Belos!? When did they find out?' I thought as I tensed my body. "I thought you said you haven't read their journal?" Belos asked The Collector. "I got bored! There was nothing else to do!" The Collector admitted. 'They read my journal! That's why I couldn't find it at times, they took it!' I thought. "Fine, just as long as they don't get hurt and they must be returned after the games" Belos said as I was then suddenly pulled out of bed. I pretended to be woken up as The Collector pulled me up to a star that had Luz, King, and Eda hugging each other. "Wish us luck Ray-Ray!" The Collector said as they pulled me into the star with them

The Collector then pulled us out to where Luz, King, and Eda were as we came through a purple star. "I don't get it King, I really don't get it. I thought you loved playing our games, why do you choose these itty-bitty spiders over me? The Collector asked as they placed me next to the others. "Because your games stink, squirt" Eda said as she activated her beast form on her hand. "And because spiders are awesome!" Luz said as she activated her palisman. "Yea! Especially the itty-bitty ones!" King said as he went in front of me. "Aw you act like I'm doing something bad, but I'm just having fun! I even got Y/n to play with us!" The Collector said as they jested towards me. "Trapping people and scaring them and controlling them? That's not fun Collector" King questions The Collector. "And everyone nearly died from the draining spell!" Eda added in. "So, toys break all the time? You just fix them" The Collector said as he made a toy version of themself and popped the head off as it magically reconnected to the toy's body. "Do you... not understand what death means to mortals?" Luz asked The Collector. "Well don't worry cause I don't wanna scare you anymore, I think we can all be great friends! So let me show you some of my favorite games!" The Collector said as they floated into the air as blue swirls of magic gathered around them.
