The door opened saving you from your fate.
"Hyu-uhhh what the fuck is happening?"
Jisung was undoubtedly confused, more confused than you were as to what was going on. Minho just rolled his eyes and released you.
"I was about to eat. You interrupted my meal." Jisung's face dropped, Minho couldn't help but crack up. "I'm kidding, here, you have her." He grabbed you from the wall and tossed you towards Jisung like you were a doll. A toy he got bored with. But you could tell he was putting on another act. Maybe this was where Jisung got his acting skills from in the first place.
You stumbled into Jisung's arms and looked up at him before the two of you shifted your attention to Minho. And there it was again. Someone's eye's were on you. You realized that as soon as Jisung opened the door you felt exposed. But from where? Your gut begging you to figure it out before it was too late.
Everyone went downstairs. Hyunjin was seated next to Felix. Once again, he was fixated on you. It made your skin crawl. Why was he always staring? Felix did tell you he was obsessive. So perhaps, it was just in his nature.
Felix jumped up from the couch and ran over to you swinging his arm around you causally.
"Wanna play a game?"
"What kind of game?"
Hyunjin jumped up too, this time his intensity felt lighter. "Ooooh! Hide and seek!"
You swallowed hard. "Only if!" You threw your hands up like you were keeping back a pack of velociraptors. "If we get found, we are brought back to the living room where we stay out in the open okay?"
You had no intention of helping the seeker if it meant you and him alone looking, didn't matter who it was. You needed a break from one-on-one with vampires.
Everyone started to get excited but you could see Jeongin sulking, seated on a chair, alone in the corner; so you made your way over to him.
"Hey love, you're looking a little rough. Do you wanna join in on the fun?"
He flinched when you got closer. As not to spook him more, you slowly knelt in front of him.
"You shouldn't be around me."
You shook your head. "I'm okay. You're not going to hurt me."
Jeongin looked disgusted. "How do you know? You think I'm a monster!"
Everyone went silent as they watched the two of you talk, figuring it was best to scoot into another room just out of view, but close enough, just in case.
"I ask that you never put words like that in my mouth. I only said that to Chan when he was acting like a dick to make a point. Which, I will apologize to him about later. As for you, you were hungry and I was being stupid."
"I could have killed you."
"But you didn't sweetheart." You rested a hand on his lap. He seemed to be unsure of your presence again, but relaxed when the warmth from your hand reached him and give him comfort. He wasn't one for skinship with his cold-blooded family. However, you were certainly different. "Do you think maybe we could try to make things better? Start over?"
Jeongin smiled shyly and nodded his head. Good heavens he was actually so adorable.
You smiled brightly at him and stood to your feet outstretching your hand. "Come on, you and your cute face, let's go play some hide and seek and show the others how it's done!"
Jeongin was gazing into your eyes as if you had hung the moon. He couldn't stop how flustered he felt. Did you really call him cute and mean it? He grabbed your hand and rose to his feet, although he didn't need your support at all, he just didn't want to miss the opportunity to feel your warmth.
