Chapter Four

Hopper's Cabin

Will's POV

"You did, Will. I know about the painting. I know it wasn't commissioned by El. I know you lied." Oh shit. He knows. How? I never told anyone...Unless oh no. He asked El.

"What?" I say still trying to cover it up.

"Will stop. I already know. I talked to El." Shit. I was right. "I was going to thank her for commissioning the painting and she had no clue what it was." I open my mouth to say something but Mike starts talking again. "I just don't understand why you lied. Was the whole speech a lie too?"

"Mike" I feel the chills in the back of neck and look up at him expecting to see his beautiful face. Instead I see the face of a killer. Vecna. Fuck. I see vines crawling up the walls of my room. I start panicking. What do I do? I close my eyes and tears escape them. I open them and feel hands on my shoulders shaking me.

"Will! Will!" I open my teary eyes and see Mike. The real Mike. He's about to say something, but he gets cut off.

"Mike!" I see my mom run into my room. "Your mom just called me. Something bad is happening at your house."

"What?" Mike says with a worried look on his face while still having his hand on my shoulder. "Did she say what was happening?"

"No, but she sounded terrified on the phone. She just said to send you home immediately. Come on, I'll drop you at home." my mom looks at me "Wanna come, Will?"

"Uh, I-" before I could say anything I feel a tug on my arm and before I knew it Mike was pulling me into to my car. I looked down at his hand touching my arm and tried not to blush. He was being so gentle, but rough at the same time. It was kind of hot. What the fuck? I shouldn't be thinking this. I have other things to focus on.

The Wheeler House

3rd Person

Mike and Will run into the house. They don't see anything out of the ordinary. Mike sees his dad sitting in the kitchen drinking tea, as usual. The two boys head upstairs and hear people talking in Holly's room. Mike and Will walk in and are shocked.

"Nancy?" Mike asks surprised. "and Steve?"

"Jonathan?" Will asks looking at his big brother. He spots a girl standing next to Steve. She looks about the same age as everyone else. "Who are you?"

"Hi, I'm Robin." Robin says smiling at Will.

"What are you guys doing here?" Mike questions.

"Well, we wanted to surprise you guys but oh well. We're taking a little break from college." Nancy responds. "But, we'll be going back in 2 weeks." The rest of them nod.

"But why are you here? In the house?" Mike asks his big sister.

They all move out of the way so Mike and Will can see Holly and Karen. Holly is laying in the bed and Karen is sitting on her bed right next to her. Holly looks visibly unwell and Karen has a worried look on her face.

"Nancy got a call from her mom saying that something bad was happening at the house and Holly was acting weird so we came with Nance to see what was going on." Steve looks at Mike and Will.

Mikes runs to Holly and looks at his mom. "What the hell happened?"
