"let's see.." Evelyn gather her things and do one last check, making sure she didn't left anything behind before she pick up her luggage and sling bag and walk out of her apartment. "has he woke up?" she questioned to herself before taking out her phone and dial the younger phone number but then stop as a notification pop up on the top of her phone screen which lead her to open the chat.

"so he does care" Evelyn scoff as she shakes her head, "anything is fine except chips, thank you" she mumble as she reply to the latter and stop a taxi nearby before she make her way to the airport.

"you're early" Evelyn say as she stand in front of the younger making him look up to see her, "I couldn't sleep" Jay reply as he hand her a small bag of snacks and sweets. "thanks.. are you uncomfortable going back?" she asked cautiously, "a little, we should go, they're calling" Jay answered as he stand up and walk towards their boarding gate which the older follows later.

the two then walk through the gates, evelyn smile softly at the stewardess as she step into the plane before finding her seat. "here" Jay signal Evelyn to seat by the window before he take her bag from her hand and store it above their seat. Evelyn just comply and get onto the window seat before Jay take the seat beside her.

"it's been three years since I fly somewhere.." Evelyn mumble under her breath and Jay catch it but he doesn't want to bother her by asking or replying in case she doesn't want to talk. "oh, right, i've been wanting to ask you.. where are we staying?" Evelyn ask as she turn to the latter, "a house that i stop by frequently, it's not owned.. now" Jay reply as he put on the safety seatbelt which make Evelyn nods and do so too but she gets a little confuse as it doesn't clicked.

Jay glance at the older a few times as he realize that she is struggling by herself before he let out an inaudible sigh and lean slightly closer, "like this." Jay utter before connect the safety belt swiftly and lean back on his seat as he continues to hear the safety briefing by the cabin crew. On the other side, Evelyn is still in a slight surprise by the kind act by the younger towards her. "thanks..." she finally mumbles as she glance at him before she turn to the window and wait for the plane to take off.

[ Incheon Airport | 9:47AM KST | 23th ]

Jay carefully guide Evelyn off the plane and walk through the airport, ignoring few eyes that actually recignizes his presence, follow by some pictures taking sound. Jay stop as they got out of the airport and take out his phone, "wait" he mutter as he start scrolling through his phone making Evelyn nod.

Just before Jay can call a cab, a car stop in front of them making Jay frown slight as he raise his head before seeing a familiar woman walking out of the driver seat. "ms Han.." Jay mumble making the woman smiles, "get in, Mr Sim asked me to get you..." the woman eyes then exchanged glance with Evelyn which makes her bow slightly, and awkwardly, "two" Han Youngchae continue.

Jay glance at Evelyn making her do the same, "get,no—get in" Jay says as he open the car door and signal her to get into the backseat. Evelyn nod and get into the backseat before Jay close the door and sit on the passenger seat. "how did you know that I flew back?" Jay asked the woman who start driving away from the airport making her smile.

"He said you asked him if you can sleep at Jake's for a whole week, starting today, so he asked me to check" She reply making Jay sigh as he lean his head on the seat. "you're on your summer break?" She asked making him nod as he glance at the older and see her signal on Evelyn who is looking out of the window on the backseat.

"group partner. we have an assessment to finish and present after summer break, it's cross-cultural. She wants to do korean. Ah, she's Liú's cousin too" Jay explain briefly making the older nods as she take another turn to the neighbourhood. "do your parents know you're here?" Youngchae asked more making Jay shake his head, "later" He answer shortly after.

"if you need anything, hit me up" the secretary utter making Jay nods before she drive away from the house. "this way" Jay guide Evelyn towards the front door before he unlock it, Evelyn can see how hesitant his steps look and how he hesitates before unlocking and push the door open. Evelyn watch each step Jay takes around the house and see how jay's eyes getting emotional while touring the house after months.

the pain is visible in his eyes.
