Jay mindlessly tapping his feet onto the ground, staying in a place, waiting for Evelyn to come back for the past 10 minutes. The sky gradually getting a little darker from before. "is she lost?" he mumbles and sigh before taking out his phone to check any updates from the older and find nothing.
Jay hesitates but then hit the call button, putting the phone near his ear, "sorry, the number you're calling is unreachable—" Jay end the call and stare at the phone before looking around the area. Definitely no signs of the older in sight. "fuck, where are you Evelyn.." He curse under his breath before he walk along the alley and village, keep glancing at his watch as the place will be close in less than an hour.
His small steps becoming rush ones, slowly turn to running. His heart beating fast as he search for Evelyn in every path she could've possibly walk into. Trying to ask some people if they have seen you, showing them some pictures of you today that he luckily decided to snap for the presentation purposes.

Evelyn cautiously walk through an unfamiliar path, her heart beating fast in panic as she try to find her way back. Trying hard to remain calm as her finger tip fiddle with her sleeves as her eyes wanders around in a quick motion. her shaky steps fasten by each minutes, "Jay.." She mumbles before stopping as she see a bus stop and decides to rest there for a while. Her foot constantly shakes and tap the ground as she anxiously think about how to find Jay.
"Huang Xinyue" She heard her name called from far, which makes her turn her head before standing up as she see Jay standing there, seem to be short of breath as his steps slow down until he stand in front of her. "are you crazy? where did you go? you don't even know where you are! what if you get..." he rant before stopping and sigh, still catching his breath as he turn around and run his hand through his hair in a slight frustration.
"I'm sorry..." Evelyn mumbles quietly, actually on a verge of tears. Her hands gripping on her sweatshirt hem which Jay eyes land on to after a while. Jay sigh before he takes out his phone and book for a ride back home before handing her a water that he has been holding for nearly an hour while searching her. "sit down." He mutter as he rest his back on the bus stop pole, watching the older.
After some minutes, the cab arrives and Jay quickly grab the older hand by sleeve and signal her to go in first after opening the backseat door for her which shock Evelyn but she still get into the cab before Jay gets in and close the door. Jay takes out his phone and scroll through it before handing it to Evelyn, it's a food delivery app, he was asking her to pick anything without actually saying it.
"you want me to order something...?" she asked softly and quietly which makes him nod. "you must be tired too" He mumbles, almost too quiet for her to hear but she catch it.

Jay serve the delivery food they order without any words before signalling her to sit down and eat which she does right away. Jay takes a few bite of the dinner before pushing his chair back and stand up, opening the cardboard and take out a bottle of some type of medicine.
"calming gummy" he mutter as he push the bottle towards her before he continues eating the dinner. Evelyn heart skip a beat as she hear the younger words before she slowly reach for the bottle to examine it in and out then lift her head to see Jay. "why do you think I need it..?" She asked carefully, "you were fiddling." Jay answered shortly, taking a bite of his fried rice, not looking at the woman in front of him. Evelyn froze in place as she realized that Jay notice everything even if he seems to not care about anything.
"so you care." She mumbles softly which makes the younger finally look up to her. "no, you were being obvious" he responds which makes Evelyn scoff softly, "Jay, it's not wrong to care for people" She reply and cross her arms. "just eat" Jay reply which makes the older sigh. "this jerk.." Evelyn mumbles before taking another bites of her Jjamppong.
