Scarlett Brown had no interest in JJ Maybank. In fact, they hated each other's guts when they first met. The only reason they decided to stay cordial with each other was because of Kiara.
JJ thought that Scarlett was just another kook trying to ruin their pogue fun, but in reality, Scarlett was trying to find a new home. She had hated a large portion of her life and needed to find an escape.
One she could only find in a blonde boy who wanted nothing to do with her.
After realizing they were on a treasure hunt together, JJ and Scarlett came to terms with their bickering and decided to try out being 'friends'.
What they really wanted was to scream, "Fuck it!" and kiss like their lives depended on it. But the others of the group had no idea of their tension, so they buried it deep down and went on with being...friends.

This story is in the drafts, but has been started. I go back to it every so often just to reread and come up with better ideas. Scarlett and JJ have a lot of work to do and the tension is very high between them, but that's what makes it fun...hehe
