Luther expresses concern about Karlyle's decision. Luther said it'd be better to make up his mind early. However, Karlyle decided to do it the night right after the party. Aside from his outspokenness, Luther is very affectionate, so much that he even cares about useless things.

On the night they celebrate the miracle created by his brother and his husband, Karlyle will erase the life in his belly.

The contrasting reality seems to bother Luther. Luther also asks about Ash, and Karlyle ends their conversation right there. He goes as far as to use the hospital as a threat to prevent Luther from telling this to others. He's aware that he's overreacting, and he will have to apologize to Luther in the future.

Anyway, once the party schedule is completed and the abortion is done, it's over. Once the trace is erased, it will be easy to forget Ash. Guess it might just be his own delusion.

Suppressing his rising skepticism, he stares at himself in the full-length mirror. He has lost weight. According to the examination result, he lost 4kg and needs to replenish. The abortion procedure will be over quickly and the recovery period won't be long. His body will bounce back soon.

Drowsiness keeps coming in, his schedule in a day now is falling asleep and waking up, just that. He has never slept that much in his life. But it isn't a proper sleep. He can't shake off the scene of Ash with that stranger. His mind, which is not in a very good condition, plays that unhealthy imagination again and again.

Maybe that's why Ash wants to get divorced.

When he saw Ash let another person in "their" place, all he could think of was that those two's relationship wasn't normal. Even though he had the urge to ask, he hated the act of clinging to the man who had ended their marriage first. To be honest, Karlyle had relied on Ash too much.

Ash might not think so, but from the day they first met, Karlyle had not once refused to marry Ash. Even the night Ash brought up the divorce, he still said no. Ash always listened to him and was curious even about his small things, but he didn't trust him at that very moment.

He knows Ash has told him the reason, but.... it's painful.

Clearly, Karlyle always told the truth. He just realized his feelings too late. He didn't know how to express himself to satisfy his lover, so he wasn't able to give Ash the answer he wanted. Ash had said this before. It was such a difficult task to read his expressions and emotions.

Still, he thought Ash would have understood him by now.

He expected they had become closer during the one year they lived together. He often showed small emotions in front of Ash, and Ash usually noticed them. In his view, that was Ash's process of understanding him. Continuing these thoughts, Karlyle shakes his head.

It's natural to get tired of someone boring like him.

He couldn't treat Ash the same way he treated Omega. When he wasn't in public and had to socialize, he was very empty. There's no way he could satisfy someone as lively as Ash.

Looking back, there were signs. Their intimate times decreased and they only did it on set days. There were days when Ash was immersed in thoughts, and he smiled much less than before. Adultery is common among aristocrats, many people keep it as an open secret. Such an Ash-thing to do to resolve this by a divorce.

Frustration is gradually consuming him, Karlyle decides to stop thinking. Oh right, at times like this, he always drinks. He walks to the whiskey in the office cabinet, then he stops. He's pregnant, and drinking wine isn't advised.

He's going to have an abortion anyway.

He has made the decision, and the schedule for it has been set. Nothing would change if he drinks. Yet his body doesn't move, preventing him from opening the cabinet. His fingers twitch. He can't move his hand any further, as if he's being blocked by something invisible.
