Everything is fine when you understand

Back to Hogwarts!

The marauders are back together!

They are sitting in one carriage with Lily with them.
James and Sirius are talking loudly like always. They're talking about what they did on holiday and what new pranks they can do.
Peter is sleeping, Lily is reading a book and Remus is thinking and watching out of the window into nowhere.

"Is everything okay, Moony? You have been quiet" Sirius suddenly asks.

"Oh, yeah, I was just thinking one thing" Remus replies and leaves his thoughts and starts to talk with James and Sirius.

The full moon had been last night and Remus was quite tired, but still had energy to talk with them and have fun.

The other Marauders have learned all the times of moon cycle because of Remus.

Then Sirius remembered.

"Oh, yeah, the full moon was last night, are you okay? Are you tired?" He started to ask.

"A little tired, but everything is fine" Remus replied.

"Okay then" Sirius said.

They have fun travel to Hogwarts.
Peter woke up some time and started to talk with them too and Lily put her book away.
Lily and Remus are prefects now, so they had to go to prefects carriage for a moment, but then they came back.
They laugh much and have great time together again.

When the train gets to Hogsmead's station they get off and climbs in one carriage which leads them to the gates of Hogwarts.

They walk into the castle and then to the Great hall and sits down in Gryffindors table.
James tries to flirt with Lily, who is a few places away from the marauders.
Soon McGonagall walks in, new first years behind her.
They walk to the front and McGonagall lines them up and unrolls a rather short parchment with the names of all the new ones.

"I hope this is quick, I'm terrible hungry" Peter moans.

Sirius and James holds their laugh and looks to the front, like Remus does already.

Lily had gone with her other friends; Marlene, Alice, Mary and Dorcas.

The sorting hat starts to sing, like it always does.

When the hat finishes singing McGonagall starts to say the names and sorting hat puts them into house.

SLYTHERIN!

It shouted.

RAVENCLAW!

And so went the sorting.

When all children has sorted into some house and Dumbledore had had his speech they finally were allowed to eat.

Peter ate like he hadn't eat for years.
James and Sirius ate also quite fast and Remus shaked his head to his friends and ate slowly and calmly.

When they had eat (Peter at least 10 plates of food, James at least five, like Sirius and Remus something like seven) they haven't eat dessert yet and they still had it to eat, but anyone of them didn't complain.

They ate much dessert and then Dumbledore told to all to go to bed.

Lily and Remus showed the way to first years.

"First years this way" said Remus and the first years came behind him and Lily and the other years (including James, Sirius and Peter) came behind them.

When they got to the painting of Fat Lady she asked:
"Password?"

"Honey juice" said Remus and the painting swung aside.

They walked inside and some already went to the dormitories.

Remus, James, Sirius and Peter sat down on the floor in front of the fireplace.
There is a fire in the fireplace that brings light into the room. There are a few other small light sources in the room.

"James, good job, your not flirting with Evans" Sirius said.

"Or staring at her" added Remus.

James glared at both of them and got up.
He looked around the room and spotted Lily with Marlene, Mary, Alice and Dorcas.
He started to walk towards the girls.

"And now he goes to flirt with her" says Remus and Sirius laugh.

"How he thinks this year would be different? The previous four years Evans have been done very clear that she would not date James or even go on one date" Peter said.

"Because it's James" Remus said.

"Yeah, he's stupid" said Sirius.

To that Remus raised an eyebrow.
"And your not?" He asked.

"No, I'm not. I'm very smart" said Sirius improving his posture.

Remus shaked his head amused.

"Well Sirius, I would probably not say so" commented Peter.

"Well your one to talk, your the dumbest of us" replied Sirius.

Then Remus couldn't hold his laugh anymore and he burst into laugh.
Just then James came back with angry look on his face.

"Why are you laughing, Moony?" He asked.

"We're talking about how stupid we are and first I said your stupid, then Remus said to me that so I'm not then I said that I'm not, that I'm very smart and to that Moony shaked his head and Peter said that he couldn't say so. To that I said that Peter is the dumbest of us and then Remus started to laugh" Sirius told to James.

"Didn't go well with Evans?" Peter asked and James shaked his head.

"She won't give even one change! One! Only one! But no" James lament.

"She will give you the change. Sooner or later. Trust me" said Remus, who finally had stopped laughing.

"I wonder when that day comes" mumbled James.

"What could we do now?" Sirius asked.

"Let's play a game called 'Sirius goes to girls'" said James and laughed.
Sirius and Peter laughed as well.
However, Remus didn't laugh and from that the other marauders got worried.

"Is everything okay, Moony?" James asked.

"Yeah, I'm just tired, I think I'm going to bed" Remus replied and got up.
He walked away to the stair and them up to their dormitory.

James and Peter believed him, but Sirius didn't, he knew his best friend and he knew something was wrong.
But he didn't go to Remus, he thought that Remus perhaps wants to be alone.
