On Tuesday morning in the common room was congestion around the notice board.
"What could it be now?" Sirius asked the other Marauders when they made their way to the bulletin board.
"Probably first Hogsmeade weekend in this year" Remus said.
Then they got there and looked at it.
"What I said?" Remus said.
"On Saturday" Sirius said out loud.
"Yep, now is Tuesday, a few days before we can go there" James said when they made their way out of there.
They made their way to the Great Hall and sat down in the Gryffindors table.
Someone in Slytherins table took James' attention.
Regulus Black.
"Hey, Padfoot" he said.
"Yeah?" Sirius asked.
"When do you have last talked to Regulus?" James asked.
Sirius looked at him confused.
"Um... I don't know, maybe when he begged the hat to put him in Slytherin" Sirius responded and shrugged.
"WHAT?! WHY HAVEN'T YOU TALKED TO HIM SINCE THEN?!?!" James shouted pretty loudly.
"Because he wants to do things like our parents want, he wants to be like them" Sirius responded.
"Why do you even care?"
"That's a good question" Remus said.
"Well what if he don't want to, what if he is forced to or what if he is scared?" James asked.
"He's not" Sirius said.
"Okay, if you're so sure let's ask him" James said and got up.
"No, Prongs, wait!" Sirius said, but James kept walking.
So Sirius, Remus and Peter went after him.
When James got to Regulus he said:
"Hello."
Regulus raised his head at him.
"Um.... hi?..."
"I'm Sirius' best friend, James Potter" James said.
"Okay...."
James sighs.
"Is it true that you want to do thing like your parents and that you want to be like them?" He asked.
"No! What gives you-" Regulus started, but then got it.
"Sirius, what do you have said?!" He asked.
"Well that's what I think" Sirius said.
"You do everything like they want and begged the hat to put you in Slytherin" he said.
"Right! I begged the hat to put me in Slytherin, I didn't want to any other house because I was scared what our parents could do" Regulus said.
"I don't want to be any like them, I don't want to torture people, I don't want to torture my own children, I don't want to be cold, I don't want to be bad, I want to be good, I don't want to be heartless, I want to have pure good heart, I want to care about people who are close to me, who I have only one, who is sitting next to me right now, thanks for you Sirius, when you stopped talking to me, but I am kind of friends with house elfs, but that a bit different thing and also they are mistreated!" Regulus said that all in one breath.
