"Something's wrong with Jamie."
Tallulah had cornered Roy after a press conference involving the burly man, Sam, and Jamie.
"He's fine, probably just having an off day," Roy dismissed.
The girl, who had been spending most of her time now either worrying about Jamie, the baby, or herself, insisted, "He's not fine. He's been having trouble sleeping, and he doesn't want to cook anymore... I think something is really wrong with him, Roy."
Roy huffed a sigh, rolling his eyes but nevertheless nodding. "I'll talk to him."
"Thank you." She sighed, holding her head in her hands and breathing out. Just then, another ginger-headed woman came around the bend of the hallway with Rebecca, who smiled at the girl and began an introduction as Roy left them.
"Tallulah, I would like you to meet Ms. Lasso," the tall blonde started.
"Wait," the younger of the three paused, "you're Ted Lasso's mum?"
"Have been for 43 years!" The short and stout woman wrapped her arms around the young girl before holding her at arm's length. "Looks like you're going to be a mama too!"
Tallulah instantly froze, shooting her head in the direction of Rebecca, who was looking at her with a stunned look. It was true, Tallulah was starting to show, being around 15 weeks along in her pregnancy, but she had been very good at hiding it. She had been wearing oversized sweatshirts and baggy jeans; the hug must have given it away.
Instead of stopping to admit she had not yet told Rebecca or anyone else, she decided to just go with it, having enough on her plate with Jamie's mood for the past couple of weeks. "Yeah, we haven't found out the gender yet, but I'm about 15 weeks along. Though we haven't told everyone yet, so please." She held up a finger to indicate silence about the situation.
"Yes, well," Rebecca tried to move past what had just happened, bringing Ms. Lasso to the locker room and dropping her off there before moving back to the girl who still stood in shock from the revelation.
"You're pregnant?" Rebecca somewhat shouted.
"Shhh!" Tallulah grabbed her arm, taking her down the hallway to her office and closing the door behind them. "Okay, now we can discuss."
