Ending of Last Chapter: "We'll tell you later," Jay said in a hushed whisper as the lady I now know as Mrs. Kristy returned to us all with our new login information to confirm that it worked. I wasted no time accessing all the sites, but that did not stop me from seeing Jay's wink to Mr. Hutchingson while he was walking by the seats. Something is definitely happening there. I guess I will find out sooner or later. As for now, I opened the first website on my phone and began logging in.

It's one in the afternoon and I've finally completed my orientation. As I wrapped up, I noticed that the triplets were still busy. I wanted to hear the explanation that Jay promised, but I did not love people's business that much to wait. Without hesitation, I swiftly gathered my things and left the classroom. I stopped by the bathroom before dragging my feet through the building.

It was an hour after Jermaine was supposed to meet me, so I was sure he would not be waiting for me. As I was approaching the gate, my phone rang; it was my mother's dearest. She and an unknown number had been calling me since the clock struck twelve, but I had been ignoring the calls every time the screen lit up.

Once again, I stare at the screen and watch as the call from her missed like all the other. I don't understand why she called me, and I don't care if it's something important. Her conditional display of affection can continue. It's evident that Cheryl started treating me better because Jermaine is trying to pursue me. Perhaps she believed she could convince me to date Jermaine so she could benefit from the privileges that would come with it.

She just too licky, licky, and love too much likes. Cho!

Now I was not too far from the school gate. I hope it will not take too long to get a taxi to go home. I have so much to do, like finishing the rest of my uniforms and other tasks, especially since it's now less than a month until back to school for the public schools. With my mom talking about spa day and makeovers, she's going alone. Before, I was open-minded to the offer, but now I see straight through the fakeness.

I gritted my teeth as I saw a long message come in from Cheryl, but I swiped it off the screen as soon as a call from in. However, this time it was from an unknown number. Just as I was contemplating whether to answer, a car horn honked behind me, causing me to jump a little.

I turned around to confront the person who honked their horn behind me. I was walking close to the edge of the road because the sidewalk was blocked by vendors and their stalls. To my surprise, it was Jermaine driving the vehicle. He pulled up next to me with his window down.

As he parked the car, he turned to me and said, "Miss lady, so you really wait for my call to go to voicemail?" Then, he leaned over and opened the car door for me, gesturing for me to come inside.

"I did not know it was you. The number not saved," I said to him showing him the screen that had the number still displayed since the call was still incoming.

"Come in nuh bae and what type a piece of phone that you have?"

I hissed my teeth and climbed in, closing the door. "Bae who? And stop watching my phone; all I want to know is that it works."

"So, what happens to the new iPhone?"

"Which iPhone? I played dumb. "Come, please carry me home and tell me what you have to tell me."

"Weh you mean which phone?"

"I gave it to Mommy; she needed it. And as I said, the phone I had worked perfectly well," I said while looking away from him. I saw from the side mirror that the trios were now leaving school and not too far behind. "Let go, please."
