we watched jeopardy.

lukes first away game and im on the hughes' couch getting ready to watch the game.

"how are classes?" ellen asked.

"going good! my art professor is so good! i really like her!"

"hows luke treating you?" jim asked.

i chuckled, "good, very good."

"you dont have to lie." jim joked.

"no, hes great you guys. i like that we dont need each other 24/7, like i can go out with friends and he doesnt feel like he needs to be at my side the whole time. we still text everyday and occasionally will eat at the dining hall together and we went on our first date-"

"you did?" ellen asked and i nodded. "he didn't tell me."

"yeha we went to a restaurant, he was laughing at me on the way there because my dad called, i had facetime him while i was getting ready-i didn't didnt know what to wear and my mom wasn't answering the phone so i called my dad. anyway he called back while on the way to our date and hes a dad, hes a girl dad so he had to make sure i was safe."

"youre dad is great, weve been texting and his team is looking good this year." jim said.

"they have games up here flint this season." i said.

"we should go watch." jim said. "hows your siblings?"

"delta, stella, & crew all have practices now and games soon. i miss it. delta calls and text like every day, i get pictures of them daily."

"delta, shes an amazing player." jim said.

"mhm," i replied. "have you seen her play?"

"yes, your dad sent me the videos of her playing. defenseman."

"yes." i nodded.

"and shes tall for her age."

i nodded again, "yes, shes projected to be 6'4-6'5." i said.

"thats lukes height." he said.

"crazy, i know. im 5'10 but our parents are tall." i joked.

jim gave me a side eye.

"okay so im 5'8." i laughed. "on a good day."

after the game i decided to stay at the hughes' for the night.

its late and i dont like driving at night.

i snapped a picture of me in lukes bed and sent it to him.

he immediately started facetiming me.

"youre in my bed?" he asked.

"i am."

"why?"

"because i didn't want to drive back to campus and ellen said i could stay here." i said.

"oh." luke smiled.

"no smart remark about how you wish i was in your bed naked with you?"

his phone panned to the bed next to him, i could only see that there was someone there, but couldn't tell who it was.

i giggled, "we have an audience."

"i have a roomie on the road too." he said.

"you played really good." i said, getting comfortable.

"you watched?"

"no i came over to your parents house and we watched jeopardy." i joked.

"you're annoying." he smirked.

"i know." i agreed.

"did they make you watch jack too?"

i chuckled, "yeah."

"but who'd you like watching more?"

"jack scored more than you." i said, just to piss him off.

he rolled hes eyes, "yeah yeah. ill have better stats than him one day, just wait."

"you will baby." i smiled. "and ill be there to cheer you on."

"i love you." he said.

"i love you too lukey."

he held up a heart with his hands.

i held up one too.

"hey luke?"

"yeah dyl?"

"can you guys stop talking, id like to sleep?"

"dylans your buddy on the road too?" i asked.

"i cant get rid of him." dylan laughed.

"he wont leave my side." luke said back.

"ill let you two get some sleep. good night luke."

"good night sunny girl."

i made a kissy face before the call ended.
