We moved deeper into the warehouse, the dim light casting eerie shadows that danced along the walls.
Each step echoed with the weight of unspoken secrets.
I kept Chilli close, my hand gripping hers tightly, a silent promise of protection.

Leave her out of it, I said, stepping in front of Chilli, shielding her with my body.

Oh, but that's where you're wrong, I sneered.
She's already involved.

I looked at Left-Eye, my eyes wide with shock.

We burst out of the warehouse, gasping for air.

My mind raced with questions, but I knew now wasn't the time for answers.
We had to focus on staying one step ahead of Drug Dealer and his men.
After what felt like hours, Left-Eye slowed to a stop in a dense patch of trees.
Leaning against a broad trunk, she slid to the ground with a groan.
Blood stained her shirt from the wound in her side.
