I was grateful that I wasn't about to die (again), but I was also worried.

If this...Nightmare was such a bad person that people wanted to kill him...and I was just SAVED...then the people who saved me would technically be bad guys.

This was going to be a dangerous situation.

I had fallen to the ground when the person pulled me back through the portal, so I carefully stood up, looking around.

I was surrounded (albeit probably unintentionally), which made me uneasy. And I was surrounded by MORE skeletons. Four of them, to be exact.

Where in the frick was I that there were so many skeletons walking around?!

"Boss, are you okay?!" One exclaimed. I looked to the one who spoke, taking in his appearance.

He was very...black and white. Straps crisscrossed his arms, torso, and legs over his white clothing. One eye was red with a jagged scar beneath it and the other was white. He wore a golden heart locket and a white scarf, as well.

He tilted his head. "...ARE you okay? You're looking at me like you've never seen me before."

I blinked silently, unsure of what to say.

"Do ya think something happened...? Boss was pretty injured when he portaled us away..." Another spoke. I glanced over to the skeleton.

He had the hood of his jacket up and his hands in his pockets. He wore blue shorts and grayish-pink slippers. His scarf was red but tattered, though there were signs of attempts to mend the tattered bits. Like Error and the other skeleton, his eyes were mismatched with one being red and the other being purple and red. He was also...a bit shimmery. It took me a second to realize it was dust that he was covered in.

"I..." I trailed off, still not quite sure what was happening. Everything was happening so fast...it was a bit of a shock to my system.

"Do you...need...something to eat...?"

I didn't feel particularly hungry, but my eye traveled over to the next skeleton who spoke.

He looked...horrible. Not in a bad way! Like...severely injured horrible. A huge chunk of his skull was missing and only one eye was glowing. And, uh, he seemed to have blood splatters on his shirt and jacket. That made me more uneasy.

"Something's definitely wrong. Boss ain't never this untalkative to us, especially after an encounter with the Star Sh*ts." The last skeleton spoke, and once more, my eye traveled to him.

He looked relatively normal compared to the others, although his distinct feature was the fact that he had no eyes...or was it eyelights?...and he seemed to be eternally crying black stuff. He also had a red target hovering over his chest. I wasn't sure what that was.

"Well, I should start out with thanking you guys. I don't think I would've been able to fight those two by myself, so the rescue is much appreciated. But I have to apologize, as well. I don't...know any of you."

This startled all four of them. "Wait, WHAT?!" The crying one exclaimed.

"Great, what did the Star Sanses do to you...?" The black and white one muttered.

"You don't...remember us...?" The one with the missing chunk of skull spoke slowly, seeming concerned.

I shook my head. "No..."

The dusty one spoke up next. "If the Star Sanses did something to the boss's memories, we should probably ask Sci if he can look into it at all."

I didn't know who Sci was, obviously.
