Semi-spooky Halloween update for you crazies x3

My eyes slowly opened once more.  I was very confused as I felt hard concrete under me.  Wasn't I just in a bed?

I blinked slowly and put a hand out to start pushing myself up.  I froze upon seeing my hand.  It wasn't...it wasn't goopy or skeletal.

It was a human hand.

I started shivering, realizing that wherever I was, it was windy...and cold.

I pushed myself up into a sitting position, wrapping my arms around myself.  I felt cloth, realizing that I was wearing a t-shirt and shorts.  Everything was like I was human again.

I slowly stood up, subconsciously walking forward until I ended up on the edge of something.

I blinked before sucking in a sharp breath, stopping my forward movement and backpedaling.  I was on the top of a building.

A very tall building.

Oh no...not again, I don't want to do this again!

I almost began hyperventilating until a very familiar...yet unfamiliar voice sounded.  "What do we have here~? "

I whirled around, coming face-to-face with...a goopy skeleton.

It startled me so much that I took a couple of steps back, my foot slipping on the edge of the building.  I let out a frightened shriek as I started falling backwards.

I was suddenly grabbed by tendrils.  One around the waist and one around the neck.  I choked slightly as I grabbed onto the one around my neck, teetering on the edge of the building.  The skeleton didn't pull me away from the edge, but he didn't let me fall further.

"So, human, do you wish to tell me WHY you are in MY body? "

"I-I-I don't...know...!"  I squeaked, panicking.

He narrowed his single, cyan eye and loosened his grip a little.  I yelped, squeezing my eyes shut as I tipped backwards ever so slightly further.  "Nononono I don't want to fall again, don't let me fall again...please...!"

He chuckled.  "How sweet...your fear is immeasurable."

I actually started hyperventilating.  "I...I don't...want to...die again...please..."

He was silent and I peeked my eyes open, seeing him tilt his head.  "You...died? "

I was trembling, still keeping my grip tight on the tendril.  "M-More like...ended myself...on p-purpose..."

"Now whyever did you do that? "

I gritted my teeth.  "I d-don't...remember...just intense feelings of...loneliness and sadness..."

He hummed.  "So that's where we are...your latest and greatest fear."

"Y-You...you're Nightmare, a-aren't you?"

"So you've spoken to my subordinates, have you?  Yes, I am the being known as Nightmare.  The king of negativity and nightmares."

"Do you...remember what happened to you?"  I asked, my breathing slowing slightly as my mind focused on the conversation rather than my precarious predicament.

Nightmare was quiet for a moment.  "I was severely injured by the Star Sanses and teleported myself...somewhere.  I'm certain that I fell asleep from exhaustion and overextending myself."
