Was that all a dream?

Chapter two

[TW: mention of disphoria, transphobia and suicide]

Tails pov:

"Ok! In three, two, one!" 

I activated my machine and pointed at one of Eggman's robots, and I saw Sonic being pushed by Shadow in front of my aim. 

"Sonic!" Yelled Shadow before collapsing into the floor, so did Sonic. "Sonic!" I yelled.

I hope it wasn't too dangerous for them. I quickly ran into their direction and.. they weren't breathing anymore! Oh no please don't tell me I killed them! 

"Amy! Knuckles! Help me! They are not breathing!" I yelled. I quickly panicked and I started crying and I couldn't think at the moment. 

Even Eggman stopped attacking from the gravity of the situation. Amy did all she could to reassure me and Eggman checked Sonic and Shadow, that was the first time I saw him doing a good action! 

"They are still not dead." declared Eggman "but we need to put them under artificial ventilation." 

I forgot that I had a kit of artificial ventilation 'in case' of an emergency, well I'm glad even if it's horrible that I needed to use it one day. 

We quickly put them under control and they are going into Eggman's base. I always forget that Eggman has medical stuff, and I forget that he did Sonic's top surgery too. 

He kept them a long hour before we could come. 

We contacted Rouge so she could come visit Shadow, since it's the only person who appreciates him, at least.

Sonic pov:

After the long speech Shadow gave, I noticed that he has a bit more knowledge than me on what's going on. 

"Wait, let me see your arm.'' he said suddenly, and he grabbed my arm.

I was surprised by his action. he then  pointed at my arm.

"You have my stripes, look." 

His stripes? 

"What stripes?" I asked. 

"Look at your arm first before asking, maybe it'll help." 

I look at my arm and... I have red stripes! On my arm! And now I know what he's talking about! Then I look at him. 

"Hey! You have a green eye!" 

"And you, a red eye." he replied. 

I was more confused than ever. 

"Take off your clothes, Faker." he said suddenly. 

Wait what did he just said?! I blushed hard and looked at him in the eyes embarrassed. 

"What the heck Shadow! Why?!" I said. 

I tried to hide my blush but failed. I was blushing hard from his sudden reaction but I finally managed to calm down a bit. 

"Like this we can firgue out a bit more this world. I think some 'things' on our body changed and went into the other body." 

"Yeah ok cool, but you should have said this before saying.. this all of the sudden!" i looked at him, still a bit taken aback.

He seemed clueless on what I meant, so I looked him dead in the eyes. 

"Take off your clothes Shadow." i said to let him understand his sentence. 

He immediately blushed and looked away. 

"Yeah, it's strange now that you mention it." 

"I'll go in the kitchen to take off my clothes, I'll join you when you are ready." I said before walking to the kitchen.
