Was that all a dream?

Chapter seven

Sonic's pov:

"Knuckles? Are you there by any chance?" I tried to call him, before hearing Amy's voice behind me. 

"Sonic? What are you doing here?" She said.

 "You know last week, I talked about our condition and stuff so I wanted to talk about it with Knuckles to find a solution about how we can get to our home." I replied. 

"Oh yeah! I talked about it a bit but he didn't listen to me, I'm glad you're here to prove my words! Hold on, I'm going to catch him." She said before running to catch knuckles, which took 2 minutes. 

 "And here it is!" Amy said joyfully. 

"Oh, hey guys. So, Amy told me about a crazy story about you and stuff, so I need my proof because I don't believe her." Knuckles said, looking at us to have the real answer. 

"Oh huh yeah, it is. And now Silver and Mephiles joined us like yesterday." I pointed at them. 

"What, you too?!" He replied, shocked. 

Amy was chuckling and I couldn't understand before Knuckles talked. 

"Well congrats? That was kind of unexpected." 

"What do you mean by that?" Shadow asked. 

"Well Amy told me you guys were in a relationship, but I guess that's not the subject huh?" He replied. 

"Amy! What the heck!" I looked at her embarrassed and Amy was laughing out loud. 

Shadow replied coldly "That's not the subject, yes. Plus we are just friends. We actually came here to explain to you about a serious subject." I shook my head and then I continued his explanation. 

"We actually don't come from here, my brother made a mistake with one of his machines and we got stuck here. Mephiles and Silver came here too yesterday to help us, they were aware of the situation and decided to help us." 

"What? Mephiles and Silver too?" Amy questioned us, then looked at them. Silver was taken off guard and hid behind Mephiles because of his anxiety. 

"He's still nervous about the new environment, it's normal if he acts like this." Mephiles explained.

"Hmm, you don't mind if I check some things about you and ask you some questions?" Knuckles then asked. 

"Well, I mean if it's gonna help us with getting us out of here, well let's go." I replied. 

"I still don't trust you, we're just gonna wait here." Mephiles said, looking at Knuckles coldly. 

"I mean it's understandable, we'll just tell you the information we can get." 

"Alright, well you can go home or wait here!" I said to them. 

Shadow and I followed Knuckles in his lab. We entered a big room that looked exactly like Tails' lab. Shadow and I sat besides and Knuckles sat in front of us. 

"So I have some questions about the changes about you, not from this universe if it's not paranormal for you." he started. 

I was getting anxious and Shadow seems to have noticed it. He just moved to the side and our shoulders touched slightly, that made me less stressed. 

"Yeah we got some big changes. Like uh, oh! The weird dreams we have at night!" I said. 

"What kind of dream?" he asked.

"We kind of are in a dark place, and we hear voices, they are blurred but we still kind of know who it is." Shadow replied. 

He notes all of the things in a little blocknote and nods to tell us to continue.
