Was that all a dream?

Chapter four

Shadow's pov:

I was woken up by a strong light coming in my eyes, it was the sun going down. What time is it? I felt something warm on my head. 

Shit! I fell asleep on Sonic! 

Wait, he's asleep too. I need to wake him up, it's been maybe hours we've been outside. 

"Sonic, you need to wake up." I said quietly.

"Five more minutes Tails." he replied, membling and groaning. 

I heard someone walking toward us, it was Silver. 

"Afternoon sleeping beauty. So, did you sleep well here?" he said smirking at me.

I don't quite understand what he's trying to say. I mean I understand there is a message behind it but I can't understand what he meant. 

"Yeah, I slept well, I needed it.", I replied. "How long have I slept here?" I then asked.

"Almost three hours, maybe more I didn't counted." replied Silver. 

I never sleep that much so it's kinda uncommon for me. 

"Do you ever sleep like that with him after you fight?" he asked. 

"No, it's the first time, we usually are less tired after a fight, but we are kinda stressed and lost here, so we are consuming more energy than before, so it makes us more tired... and more irritable." I said.

"I understand. When I have an argument with Mephiles it's kinda the same thing. Well, are you going to wake him up or do you like being like this~?" he chuckled and looked at me, with a smrik on his lips.

I immediately understood after this that he implied something romantic. 

"Oh god." I blushed really hard.

"I'm joking, don't worry!" he laughed loudly. "Let's go wake up Sonic and discuss how to get you out of here, ok?" he asked.

"I would but he doesn't want to wake up." I replied. 

"Well, find anything to wake him up, you know him right?" he looked at me, raising an eyebrow.

"No, not at all, imagine we just met a week ago, it's the same thing." 

Silver sighed, then approached Sonic, and I don't know why, but I started growling at him. Silver looked at me weirdly and laughed. 

"What are you doing ? I thought you weren't friends with him? Why do you suddenly protect him?" he looked at me suspiciously.

He's right, why am I reacting like that? God, since I'm here, I'm reacting weirdly toward anyone that approaches Sonic, I need to think about why. 

But now, it's not important. 

I heard someone yawning and my shoulder felt lighter in less than a second. 

Sonic just woke up. 

"Morning guys." he said, yawning again as he talked. 

"We are in the afternoon, almost night, come here, Mephiles is cooking dinner and I know you live far away from here, so I'll let you sleep here. Is it ok with you two?" Silver asked. 

It's true that we live far from here, but we can easily go home. But as I tried to reply, Sonic talked faster than me.

"Yeah, why not Silv. Thanks!" Sonic replied, smiling. 

And within a second, he walked to head inside. 

I was walking towards the door when I heard Silver talking behind me.
