The sound of Elijah's voice echoed throughout the arena as Juno and Maeve made their way to the front of the stage. It was crowded and everyone's cheers were heard from the bathroom.

Juno looked up at Bobby, who was focused on playing bass. He kept making glances at the crowd, every now and then zoning out.

Once he'd finally noticed the brunette, his eyes lit up straight away and it was almost impossible to hide the smile that was forming on his face.

She was a huge distraction but one he wanted at every gig. He felt like the feelings were coming on too soon but in that moment, he didn't care whatsoever.

You could break the tension between them with a knife, it was minutes away from snapping and neither of them seemed to mind.

I could be Elvis on a Tuesday night
One, two, three, four, five, alright !

He's looking at me. He's looking at me. Stay cool. Juno tried to reassure herself as they made eye contact once again.

I can look good in a certain light
So don't look too close at me tonight !

"He's got a nice voice." Maeve commented, leaning in so her friend could hear better.

"Yeah, he does." Juno replied. Despite the comment being true, she was only paying attention to Bobby. She was truly mesmerised by the way he played bass, the way he only looked at her.

And honey, I could play the Joker
My made up smile broke your heart last night !

Maeve gave Juno a knowing look, she could tell when her best friend liked someone and the signals were practically written all over her face. She was not sneaky about it.

No, no, no, I didn't want to hurt ya
But there's just a certain culture when you're young, when you're young !

"I'm going to get a drink. Usual?" Maeve asked, taking a step back as Juno nodded.

It felt like the room had shrunk once she was left alone in the crowd. Everything just felt like one, whole, big cliche and she didn't seem to mind.

"Baby," Eli sung in a tone of eagerness. "I'll take you to an honest place." He continued.

"Darling," his voice grew louder. "I just can't find my honest face, my honest face."

Bobby looked up from his bass guitar and tried to sneak a quick glance at Juno, who noticed straight away. Her cheeks went pink at the sight of him staring.

The small glances carried on for the rest of the show until it had finished. Once the fans had left the venue, Juno made her way backstage with Maeve to congratulate the band on their performance.

"I didn't know you were coming." Bobby stated, pulling Juno in for a hug.

"That was the whole point." She replied with a smile. "This is my best friend, Maeve." Juno introduced the two.

"I've heard a lot about you." The blonde grinned teasingly at them. "She told me you knew about us coming by the way."

"I had no idea." Bobby let out a nervous laugh. "It was a good surprise though." He said, shrugging his shoulders slightly.

"The show was amazing!" Maeve complimented. "You should've seen June's face, she was in awe the entire time."

"Yeah, I noticed." He glanced over at Juno, her already looking back. "Have you met Eli yet?" He then asked Maeve.

"No, I haven't but it's definitely on my list." She joked, despite crushing on him through photos on his Instagram.

"I think you guys would get along. Let me introduce you." Bobby suggested, leading the way to the lounge where Eli was seen sitting.

Once Bobby had returned back to Juno, she crossed her arms at him, "did you just send her off to Eli?" She teased.

"Yeah, I might've." He nervously scratched the back of his neck as she laughed in response.

"Do you think they'll actually get along?" Juno questioned, curious about his true intentions.

"Oh, definitely not." He shook his head. "I just wanted to hang out with you for a bit. Just us two." Bobby spoke anxiously.

Juno's eyes widened at his words, "really?" She asked, feeling like her throat was closing up in anxiety.

"Yeah, if that's alright with you." He fidgeted with his hands anxiously, waiting for her reply.

"Yes." She immediately said. "I mean, sure." She corrected, taking a deep breath.

A couple of minutes passed and the two spoke in pure anxiety and awkwardness, despite being roommates. Their conversations mostly consisted music and dad jokes but it was their thing.

The sound of Arctic Monkeys played in the background of their moment.

"So, do you listen to anything particular before going on stage or is just confidence?" Juno asked, speaking over the voice of Alex Turner singing Cornerstone.

"To be honest, we have a playlist with songs chosen by the whole band so it can go from Metallica to Jeff Buckley." He explained.

"That's really interesting. It's good that you guys have different tastes." She said, taking a sip from the water bottle she brought. "But I must say, I'm more of a Jeff Buckley girl."

My kind of girl, Bobby thought to himself.

There was a brief moment of silence, Alex Turner still singing Cornerstone. The perfect moment for something to happen.

Bobby got the memo and leaned in to kiss her, she followed along, desperately hoping for it to happen already.

Just as their lips were about to meet, a door slammed shut and soon enough, Maeve was storming out of the lounge with a face of thunder.

The pair immediately pulled away from each other and Juno rushed over to her friend. "What's wrong?" She asked, voice filled with concern.

"I fucking hate Elijah Hewson."
