Juno wanted to go home. She desperately wishes she'd never gone out to begin with. A girls night out was supposed to be fun and they were going to get drunk whilst dancing to horrendous music.
But it seems that Inhaler got the same idea and ended up at the same nightclub as them. They'd said their hello's and continued on with their night, that was until Bobby started flirting with a pretty brunette girl.
"Do you want another drink?" Maeve stumbled over to her, clearly tipsy from the amount of alcohol she'd consumed.
She shook her head, going back to sulking as she watched Bobby talk to the girl. It was obvious he was a little drunk too but Juno was still miserable.
She didn't want to admit to herself that she was jealous of the girl talking with him.
"C'mon, dance with me." Maeve giggled drunkenly, grabbing Juno's hands. "It's a good song!" She yelled.
"I don't want to dance." She replied with a slight attitude. She didn't mean to snap but tonight just wasn't her night.
"Tell me what's wrong." Maeve insisted, pulling her outside so they could talk.
It was freezing outside and Juno didn't even think about bringing a jacket because she didn't want to carry it all night. She started to regret that decision.
"You're my best friend, please tell me what's going on." Those words were all it took for Juno to start blubbering out everything.
"You were right. I have the biggest, most embarrassing crush on Bobby but I can't do anything about it because we're roommates and it will make everything weird. Seeing him in there flirting with someone else kills me and I don't care if that's dramatic because it's true!" She word-vomited, not caring about anything.
She took a deep breath out, "okay, I feel better now. Wanna go and dance?"
"Uh...." Maeve winced, looking behind her friend. "What?" Juno grew confused and looked behind her to see Bobby stood there in shock with a girl next to him. The same girl he was flirting with from earlier.
"Oh! Uh, hey." Juno spoke as if nothing happened. "Wow, is that the time already?" She said, looking down at her nonexistent watch. "Have a nice night." She began walking off, Maeve following.
"You don't have to come with me. I want you to have fun." Juno told the blonde with a smile on her face.
Before Maeve could speak, a loud voice cut her off. "June, can we talk?" Bobby yelled from the down the road, trying to catch up.
"I'm really tired, I just want to go home." She shook her head, not in the mood for an argument.
Bobby sighed. "Then at least let me walk you back." He practically begged.
Juno didn't bother arguing with him and eventually agreed to letting him walk her home to their apartment. She said her goodbyes to Maeve and made sure she'd text once she got back.
He walked next to her as they walked in an awkward silence. "Did you really mean all of that?" He questioned.
"I wouldn't have said it if I didn't." She replied, shrugging her shoulders.
Juno continued to walk on, not noticing Bobby stop in his tracks. He pulled her back towards him and the two were really close.
She could've sworn that he was going to kiss her but she panicked and pulled away. "We're both drunk." Was her excuse and the light in Bobby's eyes darkened.
He nodded in agreement despite thinking the complete opposite and the pair got home and went into their separate bedrooms.
