Music for this chapter:Thirty Seconds To Mars Hurricane.

Narrator POV:

It was early when Chuck entered the girls' room, calling them to leave before the police arrived in Brooklyn.

"Let's go, Bart's back. He wants to talk to us." As soon as Madi heard that name, she jumped up and went to change. By then, Chuck had already left the room to call the others, and Hillary was no longer there.

"Wow, all this rush to see dad?" Camila commented as she got out of bed.

"I just want to get this over with. Besides, it's not hard for the police to find us here." Madi cut off the conversation before it could go further and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth.

After everyone had woken up and done what they needed to do, the group gathered in the kitchen to have breakfast and discuss what would happen next.

"Guys, you don't need to go now, seriously. The police won't come after us right away." Georgina spoke reluctantly, not wanting to part from her new friends.

"Geo, we can't. Deputy Waldorf must already be making plans. We can't be too careful, we're at a disadvantage." Madi said, grabbing a package of cookies.

"Madi's right, surprisingly enough. That deputy is tough." Fred said.

Before anyone could say anything else, sirens were heard outside. Montuay was the first to move, leaving the counter and heading to the bedroom. Kevin didn't stay still either, opening the cabinet where the drinks were kept, moving them aside, and pulling a piece of the cabinet that hid a safe, from which he quickly took out some weapons.

"I'm impressed." Lauren said as Kevin handed her a .38 and distributed others to the twins, Chuck, and Madi, since there weren't enough for the rest.

"We don't have time to admire where we hide the weapons, you guys need to leave." Montuay held a shotgun. "Here, Geo, you take this." The eldest handed his weapon to Georgina, who was surprised, as he didn't like anyone touching it, not even his son.

"Are you sure?" The dark-haired girl hugged him.

"This is a guarantee that you'll come back home. Now go."

"Come on, I'll show you where you can leave."

Kevin took Georgina's hand and led the group to the kitchen, where there was a white door leading to the street behind the house.

"Hurry up, we'll distract them." Everyone quickly went through the door, fearing the police would see them, as there were so many of them.

"Kevin, I'm not going without you." Georgina grabbed her boyfriend's hand, afraid of not seeing him again.

"Geo, I'll be fine, don't worry. The police are after you, not me."

"I love you, promise to stay alive."

"I'll try." The couple said their goodbyes with a quick kiss, and Georgina joined the group, while Kevin returned to the bar, which was now full of police officers.

"Mr. Smith, we have an official warrant to search your house." Eleanor said, looking at Montuay over her sunglasses and handing him the paper, which he took and checked.

"Alright, but why all of a sudden?"

"We received a tip that four fugitives entered this bar yesterday, and we want to check your house. Is this your son?" Eleanor pointed to the tall, dark-skinned young man leaning against the door, listening to the conversation.

"Yes."

"You know, Mr. Smith, I investigate the lives of the inmates in my precinct. I know Georgina Spanks lives here and dates your son. It would be a shame for him to pay for her crimes, wouldn't it? Being an accomplice is also a crime." She got closer and whispered in Montuay's ear, who became worried but maintained a serious demeanor.

"Georgina hasn't been here since she was arrested. In fact, I didn't even know she had escaped. Seems like your precinct isn't so secure." Before Eleanor could respond, Nate appeared.

"Eleanor, there's no one here." Montuay exhaled a breath he didn't even know he was holding. "But I found this." Nate showed Madi's bandages, covered in dried blood. "Yesterday, in the middle of the shootout, Madison, one of the fugitives, got shot. I think this might be hers."

"Seriously? You think they were here just because of that? These bandages are mine." Kevin approached the three, and the deputy looked at him suspiciously.

"How did you get hurt to lose so much blood?" He smiled and lifted his shirt, showing his abdomen with a huge, bruised wound.

"The police don't like black people much."

"Anything else?" Montuay asked, staring at the two.

"No, that's all. Thank you. Guys, let's go." The deputy called the others, and they finally left.

"That was close." Kevin wiped his face and let out a whistle.

Meanwhile, Madi, Chuck, and Hillary arrived home with the others, who looked around in awe at the size of the place.

"You call this a house? Looks like a palace." Camila said, amazed. Hillary laughed at her friend while Chuck just shook his head, amused at her being impressed by so little.

"You haven't seen anything yet, you should see our house in Mexico and Spain." Chuck turned, standing with his back to the stairs and raised his arms, bragging as always.

"Don't get cocky, Chuck, none of this is yours."

As soon as they heard his deep voice, they looked at the stairs, seeing Bartholomew Bass at the top, in a black suit, red tie, and his superior look. His gaze lowered to his two children and Hillary, who avoided the older man's eyes.

"Dad, I brought Madi and Hillary back." Chuck smiled at his father, convinced he could please him.

"I see that. And it seems you brought more people home." The man, with a serious expression, calmly descended the stairs, reaching his son's side and smiling.

"It's always good to welcome my children's friends. I'll let Fred and George show them the house. I need to talk to the two of you." Bart's forced smile disappeared as he looked at his children, almost as if he was disgusted.

Madi gave the girls one last glance and an awkward smile, following her father who was heading to his office.

"This is your fault. Because of you, many of my men are dead." Madi had barely entered when Bart pressed her against the door.

"What do you think you're doing? You're hurting me." Chuck looked at the situation worried, afraid to intervene and make things worse.

"You know you deserve to be hurt. It's your fault. Now my guards are dead. You're incompetent." Bart raised his hand, ready to punch his daughter when Chuck pushed him.

"Stop it, Dad. Madi's not to blame. I organized the rescue." The dark-haired boy stood in front of his sister.

"You think I forgot about you? Of course, you helped her. You're the family hero, right?" Bart spoke loudly and laughed. Chuck tried to punch Bart, but he managed to dodge in time. When Chuck turned, he received a punch to the nose, making him lose his balance and grab the table to avoid falling.

"You're weak, not a true Bass." Chuck tried to recover, and Madi helped him up.

"What do you want from us? Hitting won't solve your problem." Madi gathered all her courage and looked the man in the eyes without flinching.

"You're right, but something else will. I need you to do a job for me."
