Narrator's POV:

Carla woke up earlier than expected. After yesterday's accident, she had hoped that Madi would stay with her, but instead, she left with the girl who claimed to be her girlfriend. Fortunately, Andi stayed to keep her company.

As she walked down the stairs, Carla noticed unusual activity in the house. Teo's employees were bustling around. When she reached the kitchen, she saw Ander with a cup of coffee in hand.

"About time, Sleeping Beauty." The boy didn't take his eyes off his phone, and Carla stared at him in disbelief.

"Dad wouldn't like you messing with his business." The blonde remarked, and Ander looked at her with a bitter smile.

"Dad's dead, Carla. Someone has to take care of the family business. Besides, stay away from the Bass." Carla looked confused at her older brother.

"Why?"

"Don't you find it strange that they suddenly got close, and then our dad died?" Carla began to connect the dots and slapped her forehead.

"How could I be so stupid? A few days ago, she invited me to talk at the café. I thought it was to discuss our relationship, but she started asking about Rufus Humphrey and a bunch of other things. I..." Ander stood up angrily and covered Carla's mouth, who looked at him with wide eyes.

"There might be bugs in the house, shut up," Ander whispered.

...

"Damn it, they found out." George remarked, taking off his headphones with frustration and rubbing his hands over his scalp.

"Shit." Chuck hit the wall and took a deep breath. Thanks to the police, they were in this mess.

"Calm down, guys. At least we know the money's going to be transported." Serena tried to stay positive and looked at Eleanor, who seemed distant, lost in thought.

"We need to worry about the masked person from yesterday." Eleanor approached and showed an old newspaper photo with eight masked people and a headline about a one-billion-dollar heist.

"It seems like Trinidad is coming back. We can't rest until we take down what's left of this group." Madi looked suspiciously at the woman.

"You seem to know a lot about this group." Madi crossed her arms.

"I'm a detective, of course I do."

"Okay, but what's the deal with this group? Aren't they just like the others?" Fred looked at the woman, seeking answers.

"Trinidad was, and still is, the biggest crime group in the world. No one ever caught any of them; no one even knows who they were behind the masks. So, no, they're not like the others." Madi looked at Hillary, who was already looking at her.

"Alright, guys, but I really have to go. My time's up. Are you two coming?" Madi asked Hillary and Chuck.

"Where are you going? I'm not done yet."

"I'm going to get some stuff from home." Madi didn't wait for a response and headed toward her car with Chuck and Hillary.

The truth is, no one was in the mood for Eleanor's meeting; apart from the cops, only the three of them were there. The previous night had been tough for everyone.

Flashback on:

The girls had already left the house after Ander kicked everyone out. Now they were waiting for Camila, Lauren, and Georgina to show up, as the three had stayed outside the house to supervise anything suspicious.
