Music for this chapter:Usher Lil Freak.

Narrator POV:

"Little Freak" by Usher played on Bass's car radio. They had worked things out with the police, and in the passenger seat was Blair, or Mary, as Madi preferred to call her.

"I bet you're not used to working with the bad guys, huh? Especially riding in a car with one of them. Correct me if I'm wrong," Madi said, looking at Blair beside her.

"You better watch the road, Madison." Blair looked at the girl with a smile full of sarcasm.

"Do you think we're going to crash?"

"I haven't decided yet." Upon hearing Blair's words, Madi pulled the handbrake and accelerated, watching Blair's expression closely, who didn't avert her gaze for a moment.

"What is this girl doing?" Hillary raised an eyebrow and sped up the car to keep up with her friend, who stopped when the red light appeared. Laughter was heard from Madi's car, and she looked at Hillary with an amused smile.

"Driving without looking at the road, right? She learned that from me." Madi rolled her eyes and continued on the road.

"Where are we meeting the girls?" Chuck spoke loudly to his sister, who looked beside her, seeing him there.

"I told Lauren to meet us in a safe place. Follow me." Fred spoke and overtook the siblings, leading the way.

After a while, Madi and the others parked in a garage that Nate was scanning. "JJ's Garage, what kind of name is that?" The blonde muttered to himself, but George heard.

"Hey, rich boy, cool it." Chuck laughed and shook his head at the guy.

"Guys, this is our cousin JJ. He can turn a Fiat Mobi into a Lamborghini and is our best dealer." Fred whispered the last part, which didn't go unnoticed by the law enforcement trio.

"Don't exaggerate, man. Wait, why did you bring the police with you?" The blonde in denim overalls asked, grabbing two beers for the redheads.

"How do you know we're police?" Serena asked curiously, since they were without their badges.

"That blonde there already arrested me, and I don't even know why. I've never done anything wrong in my life." JJ pointed at Nate, who looked irritated.

"Relax, buddy. What's important now is if the girls I told you about have arrived." George put an arm around the blonde's shoulder, who smiled and whistled. Behind him, Georgina, Lauren, and Camila appeared, looking relieved at their friends, but their smiles faded upon seeing the police with them.

"Before the questions, we're working with them." Georgina looked in shock at Hillary's words.

"You must be kidding. Look, when you said you had a job for us and that there was money involved, I agreed. You just didn't mention..." Chuck looked at JJ and motioned for him to come over.

"Hey, JJ, I think you better go check our cars out front. Remove any trackers or bugs, alright?" Chuck pulled some bills from his suit pocket, and JJ nodded and left the group.

Chuck turned back to watch the girls "arguing" and saw Madi get up. He thought she was going to stop the fight but looked confused as she bypassed the girls to go to the fridge and grab a beer, which she tossed to Hillary, who opened it with her teeth.

"Alright, that's enough arguing. We're working with the police, end of story. If you're not satisfied, the exit is over there." Chuck pointed to the door and took the beer from his sister, who looked annoyed.

"Madi?" Camila asked Bass, who looked at her with a furrowed brow. Didn't she understand?

"Chuck is right, girls. It's take it or leave it, 100 million each." Upon hearing Madison's words, Georgina smiled.

"Where were we? Oh, talking about our colleagues. Yes, yes, welcome." Hillary laughed and crushed the can she had just finished. "So, what's the plan?"

Time Break:

"Food's ready, guys." JJ called to the group scattered around the garage. The cops had already left since they were only there to help with the plan.

"Yay!" Fred clapped his hands and headed to the kitchen with the others following.

"Madi, wait up." Camila approached Bass, who stopped in her tracks. "We didn't have time to talk. How was it in prison?"

"Better than I imagined. We didn't have to escape this time."

"I... wanted to go after you guys, but there was nothing I could do." Camila hugged Madi, who was at a loss for words.

"No, it's okay. It was better this way. Now everyone's together again." Madi took Camila's hand and led her towards the rest of the group. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.

"So, you guys are working with the police?" JJ asked, looking at the group.

"Yes, we're starting the investigations tomorrow. Why do you ask?" Chuck looked at the blonde, intrigued.

"I overheard your conversation and heard the name Humphrey, right? If you're after that guy, I'd give up, no matter the money, seriously." The friends exchanged confused glances.

"Why?" Madi was the first to ask.

"His son, Dan Humphrey, is a vigilante. If Rufus hasn't been caught yet, and I believe he won't be, it's all thanks to Dan."

"You seem to know a lot about this, do you know them?" George asked.

"My dad, when he was still sane, worked for their family, and I kind of did some odd jobs for them too. From the little I talked to Dan, I realized he's insane. Be careful with him." The conversation ended there, but it lingered in Bass's mind. Did he know something about the Trinity?

After everyone had left the table, Madi went after the blonde who was working on her car in the garage.

"Hey, JJ." The blonde turned to the brunette and sighed in relief.

"Oh, you scared me. Your brother asked me to check the cars, hope you don't mind."

"It's fine, I just wanted to know if you know a group Rufus was part of, that would help a lot."

"Sure, what's the name?"

"Trinidad Scorpion." As soon as JJ heard that name, he looked at Madi, a bit surprised.

"I haven't heard that name in a long time. I have heard of it. The group was founded by Miss Fisher; they say things started to go downhill when a jewel thief joined the Trinity." Jewel thief? Madison didn't know who that was.

"And who was this thief?"

"Sorry, that's all I know. My dad didn't like to talk much about work matters." Madi nodded.

"Wait, you said your dad worked with Rufus. Where is he now?" JJ lowered his gaze, and Madi almost instantly regretted asking.

"I'm... sorry."

"Don't worry, he's not dead yet. He's hospitalized. Something happened at the Humphreys' that made him leave."

"He was fired?"

"No, that's the funny thing. He loved the job, and suddenly everything fell apart... But anyway, no use crying over spilled milk." JJ gave a sheepish smile.

"Yes, of course, you're right. Thank you for answering my questions."

"Madi, wait."

"Yes?" The brunette turned.

"When you're face to face with Rufus, ask him if he remembers Luke Maybank."
