Music for this chapter:Backstreet No Diggity.
Narrator POV:
"Where do we go now?" Madi asks Dylan.
"Well, we should celebrate." Hillary says, putting her hands on her hips.
...
The four of them enter the already packed club, the music blasting. "I got us the VIP area." Dylan says excitedly.
"Excuse me, ladies, I need to take care of some things." Chuck says, flashing a smile at two women looking his way.
"Go on, stud." Hillary says, cheerfully.
"I need to take this call." Madi doesn't wait for a reply and heads off in search of a quieter spot.
"Looks like it's just you and me." Hillary says to the guy in front of her who hasn't taken his eyes off the women Chuck was talking to. "Or maybe not." Hillary whispers and moves away to grab a drink.
"One martini, please..."
"Two martinis, please." Hillary looks at the person who interrupted her and instantly regrets it. "Hey, babe." Andi says, smiling at Hillary, who fights the urge to roll her eyes.
"What are you doing here? Are you following me?"
"Whoa, calm down, sweetheart. I came to visit my dad, you know he lives here." Hillary grabs the drink the bartender brought and downs it in one go.
Hillary knew Mr. Agosti well; he was always very kind to her when she was dating Andi. Too bad it all ended.
"Hillary, he misses you, and so do I."
"Andi, seriously, this is neither the time nor the place. Excuse me." Hillary gets up from the bar stool and pushes through the crowd with Andi's eyes on her back.
Madison POV:
I glance at my phone and see Blair calling. What could she want? I tell Hillary and head off in search of a bathroom.
"Hello." I answer the call.
"Madison, how's the investigation going? Have you found any leads?" Blair fires off her questions, and I roll my eyes.
"Dylan said Carter was here a few weeks ago and mentioned he had a big job lined up in New York."
"That's good, it means it was him." I hear a sigh. "When are you coming?"
"I need more time." The bathroom door opens, and I see Sarah, Rafe's sister, walk in.
"Madi, can we talk?" The blonde asks.
"Blair, I'll call you back." I hang up and turn my attention back to the blonde standing in the doorway.
Blair POV:
I throw my phone on the table in frustration, and my mom looks at me over her glasses with curiosity.
"Did you have a fight with your little girlfriend?" I roll my eyes at her comment.
"She's not my girlfriend, Mom."
"I hope not." Mom goes back to reading the newspaper, and I roll my eyes again.
"I'm going to talk to Serena." I leave before she can say anything else and head to the cafeteria, where I find Serena chatting with the newcomer.
"Excuse me, Monsen, I need to borrow Serena for a minute." I pull the blonde away, and she laughs awkwardly at Taylor.
"Calm down, B, what's going on?" Serena stops me in the middle of the hallway, and I turn to her.
"Madi's at a party right now." I hope the blonde will be as upset as I am, and I'm surprised when she looks at me with a smirk.
