POV: Saku

As our professor stepped up to the podium, he revealed that today's topic was lucid dreaming, a subject that had suddenly taken on new significance for Shoji and me after our shared dream experience.

"Good morning, class," Professor Reynolds began, adjusting his glasses. "Today, we're going to dive into the fascinating world of lucid dreaming."

Shoji and I exchanged a quick glance, our eyes wide with surprise. It was as if the universe was conspiring to confirm our suspicions.

"As many of you may know," Professor Reynolds continued, "lucid dreaming is the ability to become aware that you are dreaming while you are still in the dream state. It's a phenomenon that has fascinated psychologists and dream researchers for decades."

I could feel the excitement building in the room as Professor Reynolds explained deeper into the mechanics of lucid dreaming, explaining the various techniques and methods that people used to induce and control their dreams.

Shoji nudged me with his elbow, a look of excitement on his face. He reached into his bag and pulled out the notebook he had been using for our research at the library, flipping through the pages to a section on lucid dreaming.

"This is incredible," he whispered, barely containing his excitement.

It was as if everything was falling into place, each piece of the puzzle slotting neatly into position.

As the lecture was coming to an end, Shoji and I gathered our belongings. Once Our professor left the room, we exited.

After class, Shoji and I headed straight to the library. We were eager to continue our research and make sense of what we had just learned in the lecture. We found our usual spot and sat down, setting our bags beside us. Shoji immediately pulled out his notebook, flipping it open to the section on lucid dreaming.

"Okay," Shoji said, tapping his pen against the page. "This is starting to get real. We need to figure out how our shared dream fits into all of this."

I nodded, pulling out my laptop and opening a new document. "Let's start by listing everything we know and then go from there."

We spent the next few minutes in focused silence, jotting down notes and cross-referencing our findings with what we had just learned in class. The library was relatively quiet, with only the soft rustling of pages and the occasional whisper of other students breaking the silence.

Shoji looked up from his notes. "Remember the symbol on the stone slab? Do you think it means something specific in the context of lucid dreaming?"

I thought back to the dream, the vividness of the orange light still fresh in my mind. "It has to be..." Maybe it's some sort of marker or guide."

Shoji scribbled down a few more notes, then looked at me with a determined expression. "We need to learn how to control these dreams. If we can figure that out, we might be able to understand why we're sharing them."

We continued our research, diving into books and online articles about lucid dreaming techniques, dream symbols, and shared dream experiences. Each discovery seemed to lead to more questions, but we were determined to uncover the truth.

Hours passed, and our table became cluttered with books and papers. Despite the growing pile of information, we were both energized by the prospect of what we might uncover.

As the library began to empty out, Shoji leaned back in his chair, stretching. "I think we're onto something big here, Saku."

I smiled. "Yeah, and whatever it is, we'll figure it out together."

We packed up our things, promising to meet again tomorrow to continue our research. As we walked out of the library, I couldn't shake the feeling that we were on the brink of a major discovery, one that could change everything we thought we knew about dreams and our connection to each other.
