As the final words of the lecture echoed through the room, Saku and Shoji found themselves reluctantly bidding farewell to the building of academia. Time had slipped through their fingers like sand, leaving them with a sense of urgency to embark on their next adventure together.
Exiting the building, their steps fell into sync as they made their way towards the library, their destination shrouded in anticipation.
"There's a Campus Library nearby, is that the library we're heading to?" Saku inquired, a note of uncertainty lacing his words as he glanced towards Shoji for confirmation.
"Yeah, I've heard great things about it, but I've never had the chance to visit it myself," Shoji admitted.
"Are you new here?" Saku ventured, his curiosity bubbling to the surface.
Shoji shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "Not exactly. I'm a sophomore. How about you?" he countered
Saku's eyes widened slightly in realization. "I'm a freshman," he confessed.
Their conversation paused as they approached the library, its structure towering above them like a beacon of knowledge and discovery. With a shared glance, they stepped through the automatic glass doors, the sensation of relaxation passing surrounding them like a warm embrace.
Their gazes swept over the expanse of the library. As they moved to approach the counter, a realization dawned upon them, they lacked the necessary library card, as they are new to the library.
As Saku and Shoji approached the library counter, they found themselves greeted by a friendly librarian, her smile warm and welcoming.
"Welcome to the library! How can I assist you today?" she inquired, her voice carrying a hint of genuine interest.
Saku glanced at Shoji, a shared sense of amusement twinkling in their eyes as they prepared to explain their predicament.
"We're actually new to the library and we don't have library cards yet," Saku explained, his tone apologetic yet hopeful.
With a quick scan of their student IDs and a few taps on the touchscreen, the librarian swiftly issued them temporary library cards. "There you go! You're all set!," she announced, handing them their cards with a smile.
