POV: Saku
We stepped inside, the temperature rising slightly as we left the biting wind behind. The cave was dimly lit, but as our eyes adjusted, we saw a figure sitting on a large rock. He looked up as we entered, his face illuminated by the flickering flame on the torch, propped on the wall. He seemed to be around four years older than us, with a calm, almost knowing expression.
The man stood up and approached us, his movements smooth and deliberate. We stood still, unsure of what to expect. When he reached us, he extended his index fingers and gently poked our chests.
"This is just the beginning," he said, his voice echoing softly in the cavern.
Shoji and I exchanged a glance, feeling an inexplicable urge to close our eyes. Trusting the sensation, we let our eyelids drop.
When we opened them again, we were standing in a vast field of snow, much like the one outside the cave, yet somehow different. The air was still, the landscape untouched and pristine. It felt surreal.
"What is this place?" Shoji whispered, his breath clouding in the cold air.
I didn't answer immediately. Instead, I closed my eyes again, focusing my thoughts. I imagined a village, sprawling across the snowy field and climbing up the mountainsides.
When I opened my eyes, the vision had come to life. A village now stood before us, exactly as I had imagined it. Shoji looked around, astonished.
