Jake and sunoo walked into their classroom, still feeling tired from the day before. As soon as they sat down, their classmate approached them.
"Hey guys," she said with a mischievous grin, "I heard you guys hung out with heesung and sunghoon yesterday. What was that all about?"
The boys glanced at each other, surprised by the sudden question. They had expected their classmates to comment on their time spent with the popular boys.
"Uh, yeah, we hung out with them yesterday," sunoo said casually.
"But it was nothing special, we just grabbed some food after school, that's all." jake joined in.
Their classmate raised an eyebrow, "Really? Just some food after school?" she said doubtly. "Because we've noticed that lately, you two have been spending a lot of time with them."
Sunoo interrupted and said,
"Why? Do you have any problem, we are friends." he yelled.Their classmate was taken aback by his reaction. "Whoa, calm down," she said, putting her hands up defensively. "I was just curious, geez." jake gave sunoo a warning look, silently telling him to cool it.
"Relax, I'm just messing with you guys," she said, crossing her arms. "But come on, you can't blame us for being a little jealous. You two are suddenly hanging out with the hottest guys in our college."
Both exchanged a glance, feeling a bit flustered by their classmate's comments. They knew that their new friendships with heesung and sunghoon had raised some eyebrows among their classmates, but they hadn't expected to be mocked by their classmates.
Sunoo shrugged, trying to play it cool. "Jealousy is a bad look on you."
She annoyed by sunoo's sarcastic remark. "Hey, I'm just sayin', it's not every day you see two average-looking guys hanging out with the most popular guys in school," she rolled her eyes at jake and sunoo.
Jake bristled at the comment, "Average-looking?" he repeated, his face twisting into an irritated expression. "What's that supposed to mean?"
She was about to argue but, sunghoon walked into the classroom, a confident smirk on his face. He made his way over to jake and sunoo, nodding at them in greeting.
Their classmate's eyes widened at the sight of sunghoon, taken aback by his presence. Before she could say anything, sunghoon turned to her, his eyes narrowing.
"I heard what you said about jake and sunoo just now. I don't appreciate you disrespecting my friends." he said in a low and calm voice.
Their classmate was intimidated by his tone, her mouth snapping shut as she shrunk back a little. "Oh, um, I was just... I didn't mean it like that," her voice trembling.
He crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow. "You didn't mean it like that?" he repeated skeptically. Then what did you mean, exactly?"
Their classmate gets nervous under his intense gaze, clearly regretting her earlier comments.
"I, uh, I just... I was just joking around, you know?" she said weakly, trying to play it off as if it was nothing.Sunghoon snorted and rolled his eyes. "Behave! Let me tell you something. jake and sunoo are my friends, and I don't appreciate people messing with them. Got it?" he said in a stern tone.
The girl gulped hard and
looks away in fear, clearly regretting. His stern expression softening into a slight smile as he turned back to the boys "Anyway, I came here to invite you guys to hang out again after school. You ready?"
Jake and Sunoo exchanged another look. They were a little taken aback by Sunghoon's protectiveness earlier, but they quickly pushed that aside in favor of the idea of hanging out again.
