A/N: This chapter will not be presented by anyone as I'm very lazy! T-T

'Why doesn't it bother me how much I see him? Why do I actually feel really happy to see him?'

Leilani constantly asked herself why she had these weird feelings. Why she felt like her chest was getting heavy, why her face was feeling hot, and why she felt sick to her stomach. It's not like she and Issac were really close. Sure he would sometimes tease her, which people said that it's a sign that a boy would like you. Although she didn't believe them. To her, if a guy liked her he would have to directly tell her about his feelings(subtle hints work too).

She sat down as Issac didn't spare her one glance; it kind of hurt. Leilani took a look down as she was annoyed; who was she kidding? It was probably some random attraction she felt towards him. No way that she liked him. The Issac! Issac Espiritu! Class clown who can be serious! No way she liked him. No way. Leilani rolled her eyes at herself as she still felt a scratch in her throat that she wrongfully ignored.

Although instead of a warm welcome she was greeted just how any other guy or gal would be greeted by the boy. With a disappearance of her precious pencil bag. Leilani looked up at him as if he did not just do that, he looked back at her with a goofy facial expression. Issac asked, "How cliché that we keep on getting seated next to each other? What?! I didn't do anything!" He hid the pencil case in the same place he always did for the bookworm. Just near her backpack so it could be in the sight of his vision.

Leilani groaned as she got her pencil case. Leilani responded, "Yeah yeah, it's as if you didn't do anything.." She took her pencil case as she got a pencil out as she put it deep in her backpack where no one would find it. "You're so predictable.." Issac replied, "You don't really care though!" The two stopped talking as they heard their science teacher yelling out of anger. Although who had a clue what he was yelling about? No one.

Mr Wright taunted, "Well, since no one is listening, I guess you won't mind if I assign you your partner for this project." The other kids groaned as the duo wasn't too happy about it either. "So your partners are," He took a look at the seating chart as he said, "Going to be the person you are sitting next to. For today we'll be doing some notes, so you will have context on what the project will be about."

Leilani and Issac's eyes widened as they looked at each other. Now it's not like they hated each other, but they weren't very close either. They did sit next to each other, they did have band together, and they did didn't really care about each other. However, they haven't been together like that for this long.

Suddenly, Leilani remembered something her 8th band buddy said when she was in 6th grade. Her 8th grade buddy, Hailey, said, "Before 6th grade is over, take this in, Leilani. If you ever have Mr Wright for science, good luck. He'll make you work with this 1 person for the whole year, he'll yell at you for every little mistake, but he only teaches honors and gifted & talented. So there's a possibly chance that you won't have him!"

Yeah, Hailey was wrong. Leilani did have him, and now she was stuck with Mr Popular and Perfect for the rest of the school year in science.

Sure, Issac was okay with Leilani, but there was one thing that did bother him. Leilani never got mad. She was never humiliated or angered by his jokes. Sure she got annoyed, but she acted like she never cared. It genuinely pissed him off at times, but it also made him amused.

Soon enough class started as Mr Wright started the lesson, but a certain someone was distracted by another certain someone. Leilani thought, 'Hm, I never noticed that Issac has green eyes...' She didn't notice that she was staring a little too much as she finished taking her notes. It was easier than baking with her annoying little brother.

Although as soon as she stared with her doe eyes she felt the butterflies in her stomach flutter, and her heart skipping a beat. It was weird, and her throat was feeling scratchy. It felt like something was stuck inside of it. Suddenly she felt herself coughing as she covered her mouth and she felt something come up. She got up as she asked and yelled with a hand over her mouth,

"MAY I BE EXCUSED!?!"
