"Man... I don't think I can ever tell him my feelings..."

Leilani thought to herself as she walked home. As soon as she came home she looked up to see her mother replanting some flowers in their garden. Leilani stuttered, "H-hey mom-" She coughed a little, but her mask thankfully caught her flowers petals. Mrs Ahh asked, "Are you okay sweetie? Need some medicine? Oh I shouldn't have let you go to school today..." Leilani replied, "No! I'm fine mom! Just a bit tired from school. I need to get a head start on a project, so yeah... I'll be going inside now..."

She went inside as she saw that she had a few missed some calls from Blyss, Nari, and Vicky.

Blyss: HOW MUCH MARSHMALLOWS SHOULD I SHOVE IN MY MOUTH?!

Nari: none?! you're going to choke on them Blyss

Blyss: IVE GOT 6 RIGHT NOW!!

Leilani: Don't worry Blyss, it's not your fault. It's the schools fault for letting you still be in honors classes🙂

Blyss: LEILANI?! MAH BESTIE IS NOW SLANDERING ME?!😭😭😭

Leilani: Sorry Blyss, but I don't wanna lie. Also I gtg since I need to finish my homework

Vicky: Ooooooh!~ You have a project with him, right? Good luck our old married couple.

Leilani: Vickyyyyy, my bestie! Whatever do you mean?

Blyss: I thought I was your bestie-

Leilani:...I'm leaving, BAI

Nari: Don't leave me with the hooligans, Lani😭

Vicky/Blyss: HOOLIGANS?!💀

Leilani got off of her phone as she burst out laughing. Now this was what she wanted for an eternity. With her friends just joking, and they had no worries. Now Leilani really desperately needed to throw up. It had only been 2 weeks since she had discovered this little disease, and time was running out fast. She rushed towards the bathroom as she stayed there for a little while. Then she went into her room as she put her backpack down, and got her school iPad out. She got onto the project's google doc, and saw that he didn't work on anything.

Later she was still working on it when she realized that he was calling her for some reason. Not that she was annoyed. It would be more efficient for them both to be working on the project instead of her just working on it by herself. She answered the call as she saw a young girl. She had ebony black wavy hair in braids, bright green eyes, and a cotton candy spiral t-shirt with white shorts. The younger girl asked, "Are you my brother's girlfriend? I swear, he doesn't tell me anything nowadays..."

The brunette blinked, and she looked at the girl. She made a mental note to schedule a screaming pillow session later when it was loud enough, so no one would hear her scream. She uncomfortably laughed as the laughter went down a bit as she sighed. Leilani replied, "No, no. I'm not your older brother's girlfriend. I'm his partner for this school project. The young girl said, "Well my name's Heather, what's yours? What's your favorite color? How long does it take for you to finish a book? Do you like flowers? What's your favorite flower? Will you be my friend??" The 7 year old asked with stars in her eyes.

Leilani felt a bit overwhelmed with the questions as she laughed a little. She said, "Well, my name is Leilani. My favorite color is red and it takes me 1 week to 1 month to finish a book. I do like flowers, my favorite flowers are orchids, and I'd be glad to be your friend!" Heather cheered, "Yay! Can I show you my bracelet collection??"

The two girls continued to talk a bit as Leilani continued working on her part of the project. Suddenly a door slammed open and shut as Leilani heard a familiar voice yell at Heather before she heard rough sounds as the two siblings fought over the phone. Then the call ended as Leilani thought, 'Issac is really... tough love with his younger sister... they're both very annoying at times. At least Heather is more adorable.

However, Leilani heard the door click open as she heard someone yelling, "여보!!! 다녀왔어!!" She rushed down to greet her father. Leilani said, "안녕하세요! 오늘... 오늘..." Her father laughed as he slightly ruffled her hair. Mr Ahn said, "You don't need to speak to me in Korean, Lani..." Leilani nodded as she sighed. She said, "How was work today, Appa?" Mr Ahn said, "It was good, but how was school today?" Leilani mumbled, "It was... good.. I got started on a project that's due in a month or something like that. It's a pretty big one.." Mr Ahn nodded slowly as he understood.

"Well, tell your 엄아 that I need to go somewhere really quick, okay?"

"네..."
