Hyunjin sat on the edge of the bleachers, sketchbook in hand, stealing glances at y/n from a distance. He watched as she laughed and joked with her cheerleader friends, her eyes sparkling with joy. Her beauty was undeniable, a true muse for an artist like him. He couldn't help but be captivated by her every movement, the way her hair caught the light, the sound of her laughter ringing in his ears.
"Hey, Hyunjin! Earth to Hyunjin!" Felix's voice broke through his thoughts, snapping him back to reality.
"Huh? Oh, sorry, Felix," Hyunjin replied, trying to act casual as he closed his sketchbook. "What were you saying?"
Felix smirked, glancing over at the group of cheerleaders. "You've been staring at y/n for like, ten minutes straight. Why don't you just go talk to her?"
Hyunjin's face flushed with embarrassment. "I wasn't staring," he mumbled, avoiding Felix's gaze. "I was just... drawing."
"Sure you were," Felix teased, nudging him playfully. "Come on, man. She's just a person. Go say hi."
Hyunjin shook his head, feeling a knot of anxiety in his stomach. "I can't just go up to her. What if she thinks I'm weird?"
Felix rolled his eyes. "You're already weird, Hyunjin. But that's what makes you cool. Trust me, girls like y/n appreciate genuine people. Just be yourself."
Hyunjin sighed, looking over at y/n again. She was now animatedly talking to her friends, her smile bright and infectious. "I don't know, Felix. She's so... perfect. What would she see in a guy like me?"
Felix put a hand on Hyunjin's shoulder, giving him a reassuring squeeze. "You'll never know unless you try, buddy. Besides, you never know what might happen. She could surprise you."
Meanwhile, y/n was in the middle of a conversation with her best friend, Mia. "Did you see the way he drew that last piece? It was incredible!" she exclaimed, eyes wide with admiration.
Mia grinned. "I knew you had a thing for artists, y/n. Are you talking about Hyunjin again?"
Y/n blushed slightly, glancing in Hyunjin's direction. "Well, yeah. I mean, he's really talented. And kind of cute, don't you think?"
Mia laughed. "Why don't you go talk to him then? He's always over there with Felix, sketching away. I'm sure he'd be thrilled to talk to you."
Y/n hesitated, biting her lip. "I don't know... What if he doesn't like me? Or worse, what if I embarrass myself?"
Mia shook her head, her smile encouraging. "Y/n, you're one of the most confident people I know. If anyone can handle talking to a cute boy, it's you. Go for it!"
With a deep breath, y/n decided to take Mia's advice. She stood up, smoothing out her cheerleader skirt, and made her way towards Hyunjin and Felix. As she approached, she could see Hyunjin tense up, his eyes widening in surprise.
"Hi, Hyunjin," y/n said with a friendly smile. "Mind if I join you guys for a bit?"
Hyunjin's heart raced as he struggled to find his words. "Uh, hi y/n! No, not at all. Please, have a seat."
Felix gave Hyunjin a knowing look, then turned to y/n. "Hey, y/n. How's it going?"
"Pretty good," she replied, sitting down beside Hyunjin. "I couldn't help but notice you guys always seem to be deep in conversation over here. What are you usually talking about?"
Hyunjin glanced nervously at Felix, who grinned and shrugged. "Oh, you know, just stuff. Art, school, life... Hyunjin here is always sketching something amazing."
Y/n's eyes lit up. "Really? I'd love to see some of your work, Hyunjin. If you don't mind, that is."
Hyunjin swallowed hard, feeling his palms grow sweaty. "Sure, I guess," he said, opening his sketchbook to one of his recent drawings. "It's not that great, though."
